Aren’t the technical/minor fouls all 30 seconds only? In which case most of those penalties would already be basically expired by the time the defense got possession and cleared it into the box

We were trending that way even pre-COVID. Scanlan from Loyola to Cuse, Chris Gray from BU to UNC. But a move here or there isn’t the same as what we saw from summer 2020-2023

But I would put ND above other recent #1 seed champions, like 2017 MD, 2014 Duke, 2012 Loyola. Probably on par with back to back Cuse in 08-09, maybe even better

The alternative to the Rabil business would be more commercials or some Carc segment with Charlotte North. There are a lot bigger issues than Rabil/Tsai in the degradation of ESPN's broadcast, and it's mostly due to repeated budget cuts and a clearly bare thin production effort.
