Re: DARTMOUTH 2020
As a parent of a HS player potentially interested in Dartmouth, I’m curious as to why the program hasn’t been more successful in recent years. Are the admissions standards so high on the AI scale that many prospective recruits can’t get past the admissions screen? Is it that much more stringent than...

Re: Has lacrosse “bubble” started to pop??
Continuing the thread jack... We are all looking to see what the impact will be with the new recruiting rules. 1) Will private teams' importance grow less or just shift right? 2) Will grade repeating disappear/decrease because schools will get to see the prospects mature more? 3) Will non-hot-bed p...

Re: Has lacrosse “bubble” started to pop??
Per Wheels very insightful post, did they release the total # of high school boys in CO? Any drop in lax numbers here in CT is useless to analyze without taking into account the total falling population. Of course if the total population of high school boys drops and the lax numbers drop you can sa...

Re: Has lacrosse “bubble” started to pop??
HS Participation here in CO (a new "hotbed", supposedly) was released today:
2018 - 3,714 boys
2019 - 3,179 boys
That's a drop of over 14%, which is a huge number...

Re: The Lax bro culture 2020
This goes for the youth level (HS and below) - Correlation doesn't equal causation, but it seems as if the more "free spirited" lacrosse culture has been tamped down at the same time as the club scene has risen, and the game has become much more coach-controlled. Less improvisation and dec...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
More kids play now then ever before and the talent pools are deeper. Having top ranked recruiting classes does not mean you win or new coordinators is not always the answer. The other schools are not developing players as well. Your opponents could be recruiting 2, and 3 star players and building t...

Re: THE Hopkins Lacrosse Fallout Shelter (44, we want more!)
State of the program IMO I disagree fairly strongly with HF16 on the lame duck issue - the 2020 class is what - 7/9 months (I can never keep track) from being able to sign NLIs? And that is a class with a couple easily identifiable talents (starting with Grimes and McDermott) - think of the Shays/C...
