Re: Home Stretch / National Rankings
Definitely a 180 from last year where they gave AL bids to DePauw and mount union and someone else (I could be wrong about a few of the teams), which were ridiculous (whether the choice or the criteria to be followed) Totally agree. Last year was silly. And I’m all for this year’s selections. Haver...

Re: Hobart 2025
If it is indeed "motivation", then Hobart is recruiting the wrong student/athlete. As John Wooden said: "show me a good coach and I'll show you good players". If you need a coach to motivate you to play at this level, then you aren't at the level to begin with. IDK if I agree 10...

Re: Cuse at BC, 4/18 @ 1700 hrs
Somebody has to lose. Utmost respect for both teams from this fan. This game had to go to OT. Wow disappointing Cuse never can pull that trigger It’s why they won’t ever win the ACC or NCAA They always find a way to lose against BC. Horrible shot by Natalie Smith. Of course, we can’t forget about t...

Re: Home Stretch / National Rankings
Does the current way of choosing NCAA tournament teams hurt the NESCAC teams? Are they all -- Middlebury, Wes, Tufts -- bunched into the same region...so that there is no chance of meeting in the semis or final? Sorry; I just don't follow the selection process with enough care. This is the selectio...

Re: WLax Broadcasts and Publications: Comments/Reviews
Perhaps others have commented on this, but I really love the fact that are most broadcasts this year have sideline mics, which allows you to hear the officials calls or at least some of them. Definitely a big step in the right direction. We have come a long way from the days when network games were...

Re: WLax Broadcasts and Publications: Comments/Reviews
On the allocation of the blame to the coaches, harder to say. You expect -- in college; this is the pinnacle of lacrosse for most women for heaven's sake -- players to know that there are 20 seconds left in the half. I'm not sure if Lamonica was yelling "hold the ball" or not. Either way,...

Re: Games Today
The UVA goalie had played great in the first half, but then committed that knuckleheaded turnover right at the end of the half. JUST HOLD THE BALL. After Boston scored, I wondered if this was going to be a turning point. Sure looked like it when the Eagles scored goal after goal to tie the game in ...

Re: Time to get rid of running clock???
Something to think about: Running clock reduces playing time for backups. It is nice to be on a winning team, but it is also fun to play. Coaches are too slow to put in backups on games with running a clock. Some coaches wait to be up 15 before subbing on defense. Defensive backups on a good team r...

Re: Hobart 2024
Hobart didn’t run out of gas, they just didn’t execute. UMass found a match up they exploited on the right hand side as someone mentioned. Hobart didn’t figure out UMass’s defense in the 4th. At least it wasn’t snowing.

Re: Games Today
My daughter told me I officially have a problem. I’m watching a D2 game. Tampa vs Florida Southern. Honestly. Not much different than games I’ve watched with middle of the road D1 teams. They seem to turn the ball over less than the Penn State v Lehigh game I saw. Enjoy those D2 games…..those kids ...
