Re: Centennial Conference 2020
What a comeback from Ursinus! Super entertaining game. Someone tell the play-by-play guy that having his voice rise like he's asking a question after every single thought is unbelievably difficult to listen to. Ursinus took a lot of low angle shots in the first half and Porzelt struggled in the fir...

Re: Centennial Conference 2020
CC board is quiet. Curious about others view of the overall conference performance after 2 weeks. Here's my view: Hard to make the case for Centennial being a NESCAC-like powerhouse conference right now, outside of bright spots Dickinson and Ursinus in the top 10 of upcoming D3 rankings. Evidence: ...

Re: Centennial Conference 2020
I'm not sure I would even be so optimistic about those two teams, I think top 10 is overrated for both...seems like Stevens outplayed Dickinson who got bailed out by their goalie. Also Ursinus wins haven't been too impressive. One goal win vs Stevenson and a 5 goal win vs Mary Washington doesn't ex...

Re: Centennial Conference 2020
To turn the program around the Dips need a new coach. Pretty outrageous take. I don't think a program who has been a mainstay in the top 20 and dominant in the Centennial Conference the past 4 years is in need of an overhaul or turning of the program around. Lots of lacrosse to be played in 2020 Ye...

Re: Centennial Conference 2020
F&M was overwhelmed in Lynchburg today. Was it just a bad opener or are they overrated in the Centennial? The best thing that can be said about F&M today is they never got off the bus. They looked completely disinterested in the game, struggling to complete even basic passes. They are clear...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
Never said that but I think we can agree the CC is a tougher league than the NEWMAC. Honestly think this UC team was playing a little bit above their pay grade all year, especially this past week without DeSimone. Not sure if the CC claim meets the smell test this year, All 3 teams from CC were the...

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
U jumped on them early. I believe it was 7-0, then seemed to relax. Springfield chipped away and turned it into a dogfight by the 3rd quarter. U took a 14-11 lead midway in the 4th, but then stopped scoring (again). The last 10 seconds of regulation was unreal - Kirk made two great saves to preserv...

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
I was equal parts surprised and thrilled that the CC has three teams representing the conference in the tourney. I think Ursinus winning the CC helped F&M tremendously. Three favorable second round match-ups for the CC, all home games all very winnable. - Ursinus v. Springfield: Springfield a h...

G-burg a definite bid? Why? As soomeone in the CC thread asked..... Is it on past reputation alone?

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
Watched on GB feed and UC GK was out of this world. Could not believe how many he stopped at immediate range. Been around this sport for 30 yrs+ and that was probably the best GK I have ever seen. You'd be happy to rip a 73.3% game against any old team, but against GB is unreal. Hats off to him. Wis...

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
Coming back to the F&M/UC game. Grit was the best word to describe that game. Good play on both sides, some better #'s from the home team, but in the end, not the numbers that count. I stated that UC GK would, in fact, make the difference and he truly owned that game. As mentioned, he was the be...

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
I have watched these team play all year and there is not a lot of separation between them but enough. -Gburg has a few more playmakers than Dickinson, that and home field will make the difference. If Dickinson's goalie is hot all bets are off. Gburg's freshman goalie has looked great at times and l...

Re: Centennial Conference 2019
Haver played a good game, do not in any way wish to take away from that. But with respect to the UC goalie and team situation on Sat, there were about 7 men down with a nasty stomach bug. Several who played ended up sick through the game. Most of the defense, incl GK were down, and two of the A were...
