Re: Hobart 2025
Hobart College, nestled in Geneva, New York, boasts a rich history dating back to 1822. But it wasn't until the late 19th century that lacrosse found its home on the picturesque fields of Hobart. Since then, the sport has become an integral part of the college's identity, shaping the experiences of...

Re: Hobart 2024
Hobart was able to recruit back in those days because they won and their was a chance of a National Title and a ring ( I guess they got a ring). Of course the winning had to start first before better players came. And had some outstanding coaches that started it all.

Re: Hobart 2024
I see St. Joe over UMass by 5. Next week should be interesting. Also, does Hobart ever arrive the day before a long distance game? Geneva to Richmond is quite a haul.

Re: Hobart 2024
Yes it's about culture and grit, but also about coaching and what's happening on the field and able to adjust..... zone.

Re: Hobart 2024
Wow, give up 9 in the 4th. So many times I hear Hobart ran out of gas...... maybe so. If that's the case, fault the Conditioning Coach who's no longer here. The team, including goals, should run, run and run some more..... can't use the excuse, we ran out of gas.

Re: NIL and Lacrosse
Maybe these players who get paid should pay for their coaching, after all they're being taught how to play better.

Re: Hobart 2024
Congratulation to the Hockey team..... a repeat of the NCAA D3 championship. One thing about winning a championship it draws good players to the program with maybe a ring. Maybe that's why our lacrosse team did so well in the glory days..... maybe a ring. D1 is tough. It seems we're just glad to get...

Re: Hobart 2024
I would love to have heard Raymond at half time. Everyones knows SU is going to come out the 2nd half on fire. Raymond should praise the teams play but also tell them SU is going to come and be very aggressive, so match it and play hard and tough.

Re: Hobart 2024
Post by Finster » Thu Mar 21, 2024 12:05 pm Will Mark with an outstanding game, but I don’t see enough credit for the sophomore Billy Dwan. He’s got the size and height to negate O’Neill, and he appeared faster. You could tell he frustrated O’Neil since so many of O’Neill’s shots weren’t even on goa...

Re: Hobart 2024
I believe the problem is attitude. I think the coach is a rather up tight individual and I think that comes across to the players. Playing tight rather than loose. Afraid to make a mistake. He should teach of course but the he should also allow the players to play their game without fear of a dressi...

Re: Hobart 2024
Prior to allowing students to borrow money for education, tuition was reasonable. I paid 500.00 per semester. Then our good ole government got involved and allowed borrowing..... the colleges responded. Hey, students can borrow, raise tuition. Same with health care. Prior to Medicare/Medicaid health...

Re: Hobart 2024
A change of pace.... I believe Hobart is undefeated in the dome. Would love to see them play Cornell and Syracuse in that venue. What's the phrase? Oh, Dome field advantage.

Re: Hobart 2024
It seems Hobart is always running out of gas. What kind of routine does the Strength and Conditioning Coach have? Lacrosse is supposed to be the fastest game on two feet and that means for 60 minutes. Being tired leads to turnovers and poor play.

Re: Hobart 2024
Defense disorganized? Confused? I thought Raymond was an expert in this area and I get the impression Raymond intimidates the players and maybe not to well liked. This past summer my lady and I were in Geneva and of course we had to stop at Wegman's (her favorite) and who is walking towards us but t...

Re: Hobart 2024
Here in Florida I read the sport pages of the Herald-Tribune. An interesting article entitled "Bolds defensive change rewarded".The Blots (hockey) changed from man coverage to zone. I don't ever remember Raymond going to a Zone Defense. Is he stubborn or just doesn't know. I would love to ...

Re: Hobart 2024
I believe the only other coaching job Raymond had was at Princeton (not HC) and they did nothing. I don't believe he was even an ALL American at The Hop. Of course that means nothing.

NCAA regrets allowing split play? Hobart has been playing Cornell and Syracuse (Penn State?) forever......
