Re: NCAC 2024
Just quickly looked at scores on insidelacrosse. Tufts up 20-2 in the 2nd qtr. 😳 Not sure why you think that post belongs on this thread- unless of course you’re showing your ignorance of mid-west lacrosse conferences. It’s snarky posts like this one that add ZERO value to the discussion (on any th...

Re: NCAC 2024
Denison has never really beaten a juggernauts In The ncaas, with koch or caravana. WRONG! In 2017 the Big Red faced Lynchburg in the Elite 8 round vying for a spot in the Final Four. Lynchburg came into that game a heavy favorite after beating a highly ranked York at York. The talking heads spewed ...

Re: NCAC 2024
Twohands, I won’t and can’t argue with any of the major points you raised. BTW - I’m already on record myself saying the same re point #5. Horrible uniform. I hope the team lets this disappointing season gnaw at them all offseason and use it to motivate themselves to hit the wall, hit the weight roo...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
What looked like the first good matchup of the weekend is as competitive as hoped/expected, Babson-Denison has been a really good game through three quarters. Congratulations to Babson and good luck the rest of the way. Was a good game and hard fought both teams. I’ll admit I didn’t see 6 for 26 co...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
In years past, Gulls have torn through their side of the bracket and encountered a worthy program in the final. But even in dominant years they've gotten some great tests before that. Noke, Denison, plenty of others have shown out and made them really earn a title berth. They aren't undefeated in N...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
i think there are three front runners for the title. RPI, RIT, and Salisbury. there is a gap to this next group. wesleyan, Tufts, St Lawrence, CNU, and Middlebury are in the next group. Disagree, I think there is one front runner. Salisbury. I also think RIT and tufts have an edge because of all th...

Re: NCAC 2024
Good to see a little back and forth about Denison! Recently I feel like I’ve been “talking to myself”. I think twohands makes some valid points. Particularly about the Koch versions of the Big Red are not you up to the same standards we came to enjoy/expect from Coach Caravana. Especially the 2015 t...

Re: NCAA Tournament 2024
No great games but... The tourney starts today. https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/lacrosse-men/d3/2024 Matnum …. I’m surprised by you! Thought you were better than this elitist attitude! Note - just kidding! That said, just because these aren’t marquee names going at it today, doesn’t mean the games th...

Re: NCAC 2024
Denison goes to Rochester, plays Babson. Looks like this should be a good game; Babson played some NESCAC teams this year, with mixed results. They are in a conference with Springfield, while other conference teams are a clear cut below. If Denison beats Babson, the Big Red will almost certainly ge...

Re: NCAC 2024
Congratulations to the Kenyon Owls on a hard fought game and another excellent season. And congratulations to the Denison Big Red on winning their 8th straight NCAC Tournament Championship! And 9 out of the 11 contested, that’s a pretty impressive run IMO. I guess the more things change the more the...

Re: NCAC 2024
Well the NCAC Final is set …. Denison will be hosting Kenyon on Sunday. This is the 11th NCAC Tournament and the Big Red will have played in all 11 Finals, going 8-2 to this point with a current 7 game winning streak. Capturing the AQ so often is a nice carrot for Koch and staff to dangle on the rec...

Re: NCAC 2024
Playoff semis today. No surprise I’m sure that I have OWU by 5 over Kenyon and Denison by 8 over Wooster. I hope the Big Red take notice of what happened to York yesterday in their semifinal game and don’t look past the Fighting Scottish Terrier’s! York was a 9 goal favorite by Massey and lost. Deni...

Re: NCAC 2024
Yes, Hamblett should definitely be there. I think the NCAC needs to throw a bone to someone from a school other than OWU/Denison. Kenyon FOGO Nelson? I agree that the NCAC would like to have more schools represented on the All-Decade Team but I read that to qualify, you need to have won one of the ...

Re: ODAC 2024
Even at a low level that is a lot of work. Going to go through this list more closely. Only thing that on a quick review I thought stood out was Brown under Elliot at midfield. Brown may get the single season goal scoring record at W&L. He has over 50 goals and shoots at 57%. Can’t think of any...

Re: NCAC 2024
As we wait for the NCAC playoffs to start on Thursday there is a big announcement due tomorrow! The NCAC 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team will be released by the conference. It covers the 2014-2023 competition years if I’m not mistaken. Who do you got being honored? Some names that readily come to m...

Re: NCAC 2024
Denison takes the first matchup of the season from OWU 10-8 in Delaware, winning the season conference title outright and earning home field for the Big Red in the NCAC Championship Tournament. Nice job gentlemen but that’s just one box checked. Celebrate the win tonight but get ready for the busine...

Re: NCAC 2024
Did anyone see this? https://www.instagram.com/p/C6HCQRSrAjB/ Swapping Hiram for JCU is great for the North Coast Surprised the PAC would take them back? Figured they would end up in the land of the former United East cast-offs (Hilbert, Laroche, etc.) Hiram returning to the Presidents' Athletic Co...

Re: CLC 2024
Moving back to CLC games for first round. Who moves on? Kean, MSU, Stockton, UMW? I’m going with UMW and Stockton. I think getting the 3 seed was a big deal this year as MSU has struggled while Stockton, Kean and UMW are all pretty even. UMW wins if they can win a few more faceoffs or make a few mo...

Re: NCAC 2024
Think today's Wooster-Kenyon game will tell us a lot about each team. Kenyon has had one of the weirdest seasons in D3 lacrosse purely from a results standpoint. Meanwhile, Wooster has pounded the weaker opponents on their schedule while struggling a lot vs the top end teams (minus the Ithaca game)...
