Re: W&L 2020
What would people consider W&L’s top 3 wins of the decade(2010-2019) in order 1 thru 3? I’m going with the two wins in 2019 against Lynchburg perhaps the first game doesn’t have the same gravitas as an ODAC final of past seasons but believe winning the home field advantage was critical. The Sal...

Re: D3 Preseason Rankings
Heres a look at 2019 USLacrosse/Nike Top 20 Rankings Preseason vs the Final one. I started this thinking there would be numerous changes especially after number 10 or so and sure enough when I got to #10 through #14 all but Denison had disappeared from the final rankings .... but then only 1 more dr...

Re: National Championship Projections
I agree, Dehuntshigwa'es (cool name by the way), and would group W&L with some other good, solid D3 programs in the South who have recently seen their realistic chances of breaking through come and go (at least for the time being): Gettysburg, Lynchburg, W&L and Denison. Agreed ... Denison’...

Re: NCAC 2020
Having said that, pre-season expectations for the 2018 OWU team were fairly low, and that team surprised to the upside, knocking off Salisbury and beating Denison twice. Denison must be the clear pre-season favorite in 2020 to win the NCAC; but if there is a conference team capable of knocking off ...

Re: NCAC 2020
Ned -- Also IWU is just as good/better than DeSales...every year Bishops play a far tougher schedule. Oldtime ... thanks for the info on the Bishops. And I'll agree with your DeSales / IWU comparison.... my point was that I wouldn't lob them (either one of them) in with the likes of RIT, Salisbury ...

Re: NCAC 2020
Agreed. OWU does a nice job every year putting together a very tough OOC schedule. The RIT and Salisbury annual matchups alone would be enough but adding York at the Mustang Classic is big for sure. Congratulations to the Bishops for getting the MC weekend on their schedule. Lots of fun! But on the ...

Re: NCAC 2020
Denison schedule is posted ... quick and dirty is Centennial Conference regular season champs F&M replaced by Empire 8 tournament champs St John Fisher; SAA Champs Rhodes replaced with MAC Freedom Champs DeSales and independent Whittier replaced by new conference foe Allegheny. Net net I guess y...

Re: NCAC 2020
I was assuming White C wasn't sourcing last year's roster when he made his claim .... that's why I asked where he found the as yet published roster. I know they do print out a fall ball roster at one of the big Fall scrimmages. White Carrera can you help us out here? Please tell me you didn't use la...

Re: NCAC 2020
I'd suggest you not put much stock in the Inside Lacrosse recruiting lists. Of the eight 2019 commitments listed for Denison, zero appear on their current roster. Fair enough ... I can see IL list as not being 100% accurate. But 100% inaccurate... that's troubling! BTW ... where are you seeing the ...

Re: CCIW 2020
Can IWU beat Denison and get to final 4? I don't think I can give my answer without seeming rude .... so I'm just going to say it.... No! IWU should focus on simply getting better every year. Like they have been. And hats off to them but their record in NCAA tournament play isn't great (1-3) and th...

Re: NCAC 2020
I see over on the York thread that OWU heading to the Mustang Classic this year! They get York for their Friday game. That's good exposure for midwest lacrosse... congrats to the Bishops for securing a spot. Great weekend! So piecing together the different threads the teams I've seen specifically me...

Re: NCAC 2020
Hi MrLax, Thanks for the good wishes ... my best to you and yours as well! We typically have to wait until the holidays to get the Denisn schedule posted on the website and the roster shortly after that. The Big Red are at the Mustang again this year that's the best I can do for now. Looked at the S...

Re: NCAC 2020
Pretty light on the NCAC banter so far so I'll try and spark the discussion.... Gotta believe we'll see OWU v Denison in the NCAC Conference Tournament Final - yet again. Until one of the other teams in the NCAC can finally show enough improvement to seriously challenge one or both of these teams - ...

The landscape is so vastly different now that history is completely irrelevant. In fact with all due respect, this discussion is silly. It's the kind of chatter that disgruntled dad's have when they think their kid was short changed in the recruiting process. The reality is top 20 D3 lacrosse is aw...

Re: NCAC 2020
It looks like the Denison staff was working the summer circuit very hard this year! And apparently it has paid off. According to Inside Lacrosse the Big Red have secured 13 commits already from the 2020 HS graduating class! Many more than any other NCAC team listed. Most dont list a single recruit.....

Denison takes care of business 17-11 Congratulations to the Denison Big Red on taking care of business and beating OWU to earn another Conference Playoff Championship! And congratulations to this year's senior class. You'd be hard pressed to find a more successful class ... they have comprised a 68...

Re: ALL DECADE TEAMS
To that end I’d like to add Rooney (DU) to our discussion. POD on a highly ranked team. Rooney would certainly be mentioned for a NCAC All-Decade team, thought it seems a stretch for the entire division. Excellent attackman, though. His 2017 season was incredible and coincided with what was arguabl...

Re: NCAC 2019
Agree with Ned. It's subjective and everybody on the list is an AA. The players don't hold to any distinction and a year or so after graduation everybody they played with or against is a friend with a common bond. Well said MrLax. And that bonding amongst former competitors starts tomorrow at the N...
