Re: Hobart 2022
In all sincerity cooperstef, I appreciate your comments and you bring up many fair points. That being said, my response would be the following: Is this team achieving to its potential? No. Is the season over? No. Completely agree. Has there been one outstanding weakness killing this team week in and...

Re: Hobart 2022
Recent posts made me think about some post mortem comments (2021 season) I put together last summer. Some improvements this year for sure but also some old themes: looking at those stats: its the defense; attitude, toughness, position, talking and basic team defense awareness all seem to be lacking ...

Re: Hobart 2022
NLL draft update: Bland went in the 4th round, 53rd overall to Calgary. Would’ve been a nice addition to the roster. Best of luck to him. Yanko went in the 6th round, 82nd overall, also to Calgary. Great to see he gets a chance to play pro lacrosse! https://www.nll.com/news/2021-nll-entry-draft-live...

Re: Hobart 2022
This is pure conjecture about O’Hara but…seems like a possible motive would be to start the “play 4 in 5 years” clock later. Would seem to make sense if that was part of his plan based on COVID/returning seniors etc.

Re: Hobart 2022
Looks like (3) on the current roster: Imburgia (Pittsford), Hochheimer (Aquinas), O’Hara (Skaneatles by way of Salisbury School).

Re: Hobart 2022
I completely agree that competition is a great thing. That being said I’m curious of other’s opinions on how much “development” really occurs from year 1 to 4/5? If you go through past rosters there is little to no evidence of players graduating much bigger than when they arrive on campus. Sure it’s...

Re: Hobart 2022
Roster #’s could something close to this (including FYs):
A = 9
M = 25
G = 4
LSM = 6
D = 12
FO = 2 (unsure if there is a FO in incoming class).

Re: Hobart 2022
Any confirmation on returning Seniors? 58 on the roster for 2021. There were 16 “Seniors” this past season. I’ve heard rumors of around 5 that will be returning to play in 2022. If that holds true it seems the roster size would remain the same for 2022. Subtraction of the11 graduated + Knox’s transf...

Re: Hobart 2022
looking at those stats: its the defense; attitude, toughness, position, talking and basic team defense awareness all seem to be lacking according to those defensive stats. It is the defensive system that will determine where we stand in may 2022. While I definitely agree the close defense group did...

Re: Hobart 2022
I took a quick look at the stats from the 2021 season (https://www.ncaa.com/stats/lacrosse-men/d1). Confirms what I saw on the field i.e. basically "middle of the pack" in all categories with the exception of top tier performance at the faceoff x and extremely poor shooting and EMO offense...

Re: Hobart 2022
Great points! Very interesting to hear about the Senior rumor. Just did a quick review of the 2021 commencement list. Absent from the list were the following seniors:
Hurley (LSM), Imburgia (LSM), Keane (D), Lambert (M), Mueller (D).
