Re: UVA 2024
I agree that Lyght was playing Shellenberger pretty well, but do you really want a first year man who hadn’t done much all day or a big middie whose game is overpowering smaller defensive players but who was struggling to key the possession? That possession took me back a generation to a game at Ru...

Re: UVA 2024
ND win the gb battle against a team that usually wins it. Criticize the OC if you will, but UVA didn’t get much offense from any of their usual leaders except for their all time leading goal scorer. I would say it was a bit curious on that late possession to see the third attackman and a midfielder...

Re: Maryland 2024
Do the Terps make the tournament if we lose our next game? Which makes me ask does UVA get in with possibly dropping their last 5? Both teams get in. None of the lower at-large teams have as many good wins as these guys. It's the benefit of playing brutal schedules and winning plenty of them I am n...

Re: Maryland 2024
Makes no sense. The offense plays painfully slow. Quint's assessment was spot on. Players looked slow and tentative. Passed up on a good shot in favor of continuing to pass the ball around the outside. This isn't an issue of talent, it's the game plan. I strongly disagree with it isn’t an issue of ...

Re: Maryland 2024
They’re in the tournament 100%. They’re still a seed right now, so even if there’s bid stealing they have a clear path over multiple teams. Even with a loss to PSU? I figure that may just send them on the road. As long as we don't have to go to ND or UVA, I don't think seed matters much to this tea...

Re: Maryland 2024
Wells Stanwick would be my second choice as a clone for Ford Jr. (Ford) grew up supporting Johns Hopkins — the school where his grandfather went. Towson offered an obvious appeal because his father played lacrosse there. However, Maryland’s success caught his eye. Ford Jr.’s high school coach at Bo...

Re: Maryland 2024
Emo may seem reasonable in the box score but it was pathetic considering the minutes they had and possessions that Luke gets them. And that was the bright point of the offense!

Re: Maryland 2024
Just because they are ranked high doesn’t mean it’s right. Those guys are nowhere near top 20 guys. Sure they were ranked there at the time I agree on the ranking randomness. I wouldnt say they are nowhere near top 20 guys as a blanket statement. Malever was a key player on one of the best offenses...

Re: Maryland 2024
Thank god we have reinforcements coming with Ford, Gardiner, Draley, Higgins, Alexis, etc in the next two years. Terp fans have been spoiled with talent and it’s a lot more fun that way, lol Different question and topic - how do we do with the NIL game? Seems like as soon as NIL was introduced, tha...

Re: 2024 top 20
Georgetown has 1 good win (it was Moby Dick but literally that's it). They can't be ahead of Maryland. Yale and Cornell are too high in my mind too, but I'm pleading to the wrong person.

Re: Maryland 2024
It’s hard to argue. 11 shots in the second half. 19 turnovers vs 16 shots on goal. Hopkins has one of the best defenses I the country, but this was a case of bad offense meeting a good defense I think both defenses played very well. Hop's offense was slightly better in terms of limiting TO's and ba...

Re: Maryland 2024
Worst Maryland offense in 20+ years Adjustment to new O coordinator? I was heartbroken when Gtown lost Phipps but pretty happy to have Hogan this year. Even if it was a bad scheme, at least a few of the top line attackers should be able to dodge or create some kind of threat on goal. These guys can...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024
With my standard caveats that the season isn't over and that performances in the conference tournament and NCAAs could and probably will elevate someone to the Tewaaraton, if you didn't get a chance to see Yale vs. Albany last night, with Brandau matched up against Albany's Jake Piseno, the highlig...

Re: Yale 2024
Nice win Eli’s!! I think it’s CRAZY that people don’t think Matt Brandau is the best player in the country. He just lit up a 1st team AA for 3g and 5 assts. Love watching him play. He is a gamer. What people? Who thinks it's CRAZY that Brandau isn't the best player in the country? Is it really CRAZ...
