Why hold it, to save a couple seconds of penalty time? Jays gets the ball back regardless and then could hold it
Exactly, It's literally a free play (absent a penalty on the Jays).

Re: Predict The Next Major Universities To Get DI Lax Programs

As always, you folks are dreaming. No chance BC or any of the west coast teams add men's lacrosse. Just zero chance. The money and T9 are just too much to overcome. (Sure, Stanford and USC can afford it, but Stanford tried to reduce sports a few years ago and USC is all-in on football.)

it may be sooner than you think. The current Chancellor is retiring next June. New Prez will commission a study -- of course, its academia -- with the results due 6-9 months later. Cal faces a significant rebuild of the on-campus Edwards stadium, used by track and field and baseball. Easier and che...

Re: NCAA reorg imminent

But yeah, an arms race is going to drive a whole lot of schools to cut athlete opportunities. And that'd be a heck of a shame IMO. Id be shocked if this didn’t happen. And yes, thats a horrible outcome. this is patently false. D3 athletic opportunities represent a multiple of D1, do they not? Colle...

Indeed.. Utah is one of the exceptions to the rule.

"The Big Ten has begun exploratory discussions about expanding membership to 18 or even 20 teams, industry sources have told Yahoo Sports. The schools being considered are Oregon and Washington if the league adds two schools, and Cal and Stanford if it wants to move to 20. All four institutions...

JHU is already ahead of the curve, discriminating against legacies. JHU ended the legacy preference, I take it? Cal Tech was out front on that and has gotten pretty good reviews on how it played out for them. The American public at large HATES legacy preferences, so I think pressure will build at m...

Re: NCAA reorg imminent

An ACC/PAC12 "merger" makes more sense that anything else discussed here (including a few of the "top" ACC teams joining the BG10 or SEC. You run an East/West regular season match-up, with one cross country game per year (at least for football) that matches up similarly seeded t...

The “magnificent 7” folded like deck chairs on the titanic in one day. First of all only Florida State would certainly go to a better conference. All the others don’t have a definite landing spot.
