Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Cabrini looked really good in scrimmage against Penn today. Starters on both sides played first 3. Cavs led at half and at the end. Can’t imagine anyone saw that coming. Just a scrimmage and early for everyone....but still.

Re: 2020 Playoff Format
The recovery time and game planning is a real issue. If you play that through, the real advantage then goes to the round of 16 team with a softball match up they can look past then play a deeper squad and be fresh and prepped for next day round of 8. I think this format only makes sense if they impl...

Re: Tweak the College Rules
Refs should have a red flag and yellow flag. Red is personal. Yellow is technical. This will eliminate the obvious personal foul that the refs seem to often convert to technical (then waived) when a goal is scored after the flag is thrown.

Re: CABRINI 2019
Red, Couldn’t agree with you more. If you watched the tape, tell me who the POY was, no one would pick 32 on Amherst. If it works in NESCAC to run through three people like Morgan did for the early goal, no wonder they get a ton of points. Morgan’s an off ball guy. I thought they had some impressive...

Re: CABRINI 2019
Natty champs!!!!! Congratulations to all the seniors. Krug goes out with his name all over the top of the Cabrini record books. Vass is that west coast guy with an east coast mentality. An AA defender who spent his whole life trying to play offense until he found a pole. Morgan blossoms his senior y...

Re: NESCAC 2019
As a Cabrini fan, I was wondering if someone who watched the finals can tell me if Amherst was playing their typical level of play. I was expecting more out of the players this thread highlights. Down in Q4 I kept waiting to see The POY. If I didn’t know his number I wouldn’t have known who to look ...

Re: CABRINI 2019
Yeah Cavs. You did it. Finally believed in making the team bigger than anyone and busted through. The best thing about the post game moods was how you wanted to take down York and Salisbury on your path. Somehow getting to next Sunday only really counted if you went the the way you went. Keep believ...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
Spent some time with Cabrini captains last night at a high school game. Talk about a bunch of guys loving life right now. Complete sense of being on coarse to achieving their goals for the year, which ends in Philly. They know they have figured some things out since round 1. Always hard to beat Sali...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
Cabrini/York should be a good game. In round 1 Cabrini players Krug, Cressman, and Carver were injured. Cabrini spotted them 6 goals in the first half and actually scored more than York in second half including a couple of soft ones as they pressed to gain clock. The real issue was face off where Ca...

Re: D3 All Americans
I know it doesn’t work this way, but I have always felt that decision for 1st team AA should be who I would pick first if I had to field a team that had to win and play the 2nd team Aa who picked after me with the same logic. I don’t believe turn overs are even on the form the coaches submit. I know...

Re: D3 Men NCAA Tournament
CC has been overrated all year. Clearly some other teams deserved a look. I for one feel bad for Stevens right now. Related to Cabrini, their prospects were high prior to a series of injuries that took out some of their best players. Nothing laughable about that in my mind. I think anyone who knows ...

Re: CABRINI 2019
https://cabriniathletics.com/boxscore.aspx?id=5547&path=mlax Trust me it’s not worth watching. I think the box score counts a 2 minute penalty as 2 penalties so the number was likely lower than the minutes. About half overlapped. It really was more the refs than the players or coaches. Most of t...

Re: CABRINI 2019
What went on in the Stevenson game today? Lots of crazy penalty numbers. Of course Cabrini put a hurt on the mustangs. That might explain it. Most bizarre game I have ever watched. Felt like two refs taking turns calling unsportsmanlike against the opposite teams to try to even each other out. Coac...

Re: Top 20 Ranking D3
It’s an interesting analysis and I value that you take the time to compute it. It seems to me, if I understand it correctly, that order in which teams play impact the total points. Thus, it might be a bit more credible if there was a +/- factor to which points were then rounded. This would account f...

Re: SALISBURY 2019
I have always heard and never doubted that the “home field advantage” in lacrosse is attributed to ref bias. I think it has more to do with possession fouls at face off and push calls. It seems very real when I watch a game at Salisbury. I think Pa refs have a similar bias, although I seriously doub...

Re: SALISBURY 2019
To me it appeared Leeds launched as the shot was being taken. The follow through may have been after the shot left the crosse. Leeds was not the kind of man to disrespect the game or try to injure another player. Maybe one minute UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS. That call decided the game. In the follow-up g...

Re: Top 20 Ranking D3
I took that Cabrini comment as "I really don't know anything about them so they can't be good". They are legit. Check out their schedule and the results so far. 5-0 and they haven't played cream puffs (other than their opener). There is good lacrosse being played all over the place now. N...

Re: GAME TALK: #5 Cabrini vs #6 York
York is a very good team. Crisp ball movement always to the next right player. Fogo and goalie were outstanding. Cabrini made no wing adjustment on face off which is baffling. Deluca for Cabrini was best player on the field from my seat with insane stat line of 9 ct and 7 gb. 1st team aa performance...
