Re: Ivy League 2019

Lacrosse needs a red card.
You do that, man down for the rest of the game.

Re: Ivy League 2019
Here's an opportunity for improvement. That outdoor lighting leaves much to be desired in these atmospheric conditions.
Screw (should be another word that rhymes with dew) TV (and the money). Stop playing at night.
Oh wait, we worship the golden calf...

"while Yale junior faceoff specialist TD Ierlan claimed Player of the Year honors and Penn's Sam Handley was unanimously named Rookie of the Year. "

Re: Ivy League 2019
Apart from some weakness in third quarter that gave Harvard a small ray of hope, well done, Quakers.
Now, seek and destroy Dartmouth.

Well done Quakers.
Next, turn your attention and focus to Harvard, and only Harvard.
No let up, no mercy.

Re: D1 Men Rankings
It is sort of interesting how the Coaches Poll has a big break between #13 Syracuse (190) and #14 Lehigh (133) or 57 points - almost 3 points a pollster. If you take the top 13, there are 5 possible AQs amongst them - Big Ten (PSU), Patriot (Loyola), Ivy (Yale), Big East (Denver), and CAA (Towson)....

Re: Ivy League 2019
If they don’t... Like I said, one at a time. Well yes. If. But do you not agree that Penn currently *controls* (that is not a passive - if - kind of word) their own destiny? I'm with the coach. “It’s big, but it’s still March, and we’re playing well,” Murphy conceded. “We beat the No. 1 in the coun...

Re: Ivy League 2019
That’s worked against them at times, but not this year. It looks to me like the Quakers punched their ticket into the NCAAs with the win. If they take care of business the rest of the regular season, I agree: they are in. AQ or at-large. It doesn't matter. Nope. One game at a time. Like my current ...

Re: Ivy League 2019
Penn seems to have reversed its usual form of starting strong OOC and fading in league play. Plus, it’s on the home carpet so the bounces should go their way,
However, we’ll see.

Correlation between players' high school programs and success of their college teams
Has anyone examined the success of a player's high school program vis-à-vis the success of their college teams? Or, "do winners make winners"? I am exploring a little theory as to why Penn has such good recruits but limited success. My first data point, Simon Mathias of Penn, revealed that...
