Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024

Kavanagh is going to win the award if ND - as I think most of us expect - wins the tourney, and, to quote William Munny, "deserve's got nothing to do with it." On a more general topic, I do think Yale would benefit from toughening up their OOC schedule a bit, assuming anyone wants to play...

Re: Transfer Portal 2025

Breschi seemed to shy away from the one-and-done transfers the past few years. Guess urgency to save your job will change that. Regardless, Dupuis looks like a really good QB; something UNC has needed the past couple years. Logan McGovern People said he was a QB, but I never really saw it. Always s...

Re: ivy league 2024

I don't see the NCAA adding teams, they are pretty consistent with their percentages of teams that get in. I think a second NIT type tournament could be well received but really have no idea what the college lacrosse community feels about one. you're probably right about that. all the tournaments s...

Re: ivy league 2024

I would be a fan of expanding the field, but havent settled on a format that I think is equitable. Do we really want the lowest RPI AQs squaring off midweek in play-ins so whoever wins those contests gets stomped even harder by a top 5 team on short rest/prep? The direction NCAA hoops has gone with...

Re: The stick

The women's game is looking better and better as the men's game gets modified beyond recognition. I find most games hard to watch as the officiating makes no sense. Reminds me of the perversion that is the NBA. That's not basketball, that's just an entertainment "product," increasingly ma...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

JHU is no worse than the #4 seed tomorrow. No one's seat is hot (or even warm) at this point. Yes, I would have liked to have seen more from the offense recently, but they're not even thinking of getting rid of Crawley (nor should they be, given that his contributions (recruiting) likely go beyond t...

Re: 2024 Bracketology

I think I'd be in favor of expanding the tournament to 20 teams - i.e. have four "play-in" games. It surprises me every year that there are teams that are legitimately in the top 10 teams in the country who won't be getting into the the tourney. It would certainly make the "real"...

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

Very nice not to be on the bubble and to be able to sleep comfortably knowing that (1) there's another game at Homewood this year and (2) we won't have to play ND or Duke in the quarterfinals. We clearly have our problems on offense, but UVa and SU didn't look so great today, UMD looked like crap ye...

Navy game, part II. I don’t know how you only score 1 goal in 3 quarters.

Too bad. They lost by one. Hit the post as time expired.

Re: UNC 2024

So UNC can lure pretty much any big name recruit in the country, but they couldn't pry Alberchi from Army? Toomey from Loyola? Polley from BU? You really think the Hopkins duo would be so loyal to Hopkins they wouldn't jump at the chance to coach at Chapel Hill as a head coach? I have trouble buyin...

i agree the pool of candidates would be good and maybe surprise some people. and let's not pretend breschi crushed it @ tosu. My biggest fear is that they can Breschi and bump up Petro... Yeah. I love Petro, but I don't think I'd recommend that. Though, candidly, at this point, he's probably a bett...

Re: UNC 2024

Disappointed in Breschi's job the past few years, but 2020 & 2021 at least showed us he can win with an extremely talented lineup. Maybe next year is the year we finally have enough firepower to overcome Breschi's shortcomings. Still just cannot see him getting let go. I agree - I think they'll...

Feels very Pressler like.
I don't know the fact. But reminds me of the famous Ray Donovan quote, "which office do I go to to get my reputation back?"

Re: Johns Hopkins 2024

I checked it once and it was down, so I assume it was to correct things. Big 10 is a bit different. I saw Chase get 1st team goalie and a was surprised he got the nod over Fracyon. Then I scrolled down and saw Fracyon was also 1st team.. Never seen 2 Goalies get 1st team before. Nice to know that m...
