Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024
Let me summarize this leveraging the talents of Dirt Nasty. Folks, here is what fans of IVy, ACC & Big Ten profiles have been saying to each other for the last…entire thread: https://youtu.be/smsiGETScR0?si=rWkLY0Mx-1WT63uM Oh and to be clear for anyone crazy enough to sit through 3:30 of that -...

Re: Villanova 2024
The Cats run of not missing the Big East Tournament continues. Good showing in their 12-6 victory at Marquette! Nova can improve their standing in the BE tonight at Villanova Stadium with a win over Georgetown. The Wildcats and Hoyas have a long lacrosse history, with the teams first facing off bac...

Re: Hobart 2024
Definitely a rebuild and whether we like it or not, the SoS given the success of team’s like Colgate and Richmond this year will give him the benefit of the doubt, barring a meltdown at St B’s. Curious to see / hear how that shakes out. Raymond went out of his way to remind us this is the first tim...

Re: Be better Merrimack
Boy this kid is wrong and it’s not good but refs should discourage choppiness seems a long way from training warriors. We’ve made this game the way that we’ve made pets useless in the wild.

Re: Hobart 2024
Latest podcast. https://hwsathletics.com/podcasts/hobart-lacrosse-podcast-episode-83/175 Wow, that start of the podcast is interesting. I liked the part where he slammed “loyalty” and “naysayers” into the same sentence. Excellent. Get in line muthaf***a! Have to e-sign certifying only positive comm...

Re: Hobart 2024
So now Coons sucks too. I'm told Feifs sucks for similar reasons. The guy I'd love to bring back to Geneva that no one will even think of and probably shouldlve been HC when BJ left is Ed Stephenson. Guy fought hard for his kids at Bing and had some success there. Didn't get too much out of UMass Lo...

Re: Tewaaraton Award 2024
Christian Swezey over the weekend had an interesting metric for attackmen (he credited the idea as partly coming from Marc Van Arsdale of Loyola): add Goals, assists, ground balls, and caused turnovers and then subtract turnovers. Swezey’s post had the arithmetic totals, which would be dependent in...

Re: Hobart 2024
 Except, it's true ... losing is a disease. Or, to put it another way, winning is a skill that can be learned. I go back to 3 quarter games. We didn't know how to win. We showed up at the dance, busted a couple of moves, chatted the girl up, and then she left with someone else. Glengarry Glenr...

Re: Hobart 2024
I think you're confusing me with another poster. I don't believe I've been a defender of Raymond on here at all. I have a lot of doubts about the coaching as do many of the people in attendance at games, here on the forum etc. Watching games last year and this year it's looked many tmes like the op...

Re: Hobart 2024
FFG, you needed 4 posts to respond to my thoughtless comment? For you to argue that strength of schedule is irrelevant to the team's on-field play/results/success/etc makes no sense. Pointing out that this year's schedule was more difficult than the last few seasons does not in any way diminish the...

Re: Hobart 2024
Kids are softer today than ever so a mind doc is probably a necessary in this current culture. Personally I have heard that Raymond runs a solid “be a better man” culture which is to be admired on that aspect. Raymond talks on the podcasts about the “dog” culture of being an underdog and putting it...

Re: Hobart 2024
Looks like they blew the lead against Syracuse and failed to get off the bus against Princeton. Yeah I dont think you have all the hobart history in D1 down so well yet. Different culture. Guys went onto the field expecting to: win first, f**k people up second. Win or lose you knew you were in a ga...

Re: Hobart 2024
Im not saying don't play against the best teams. i'm just saying you might not look as good. I think strength of schedule probably attracts some recruits. Like this one? 1998 Hobart Lacrosse Schedule Season Record Overall 8-5 PCT .615 Conf 0-0 PCT .000 Streak L5 Home 3-1 Away 3-3 Neutral 2-1 Schedu...
