Re: NCAA Bracket
I had the pleasure of watching #22 ranked Merrimack defeat #2 Adelphi, #19 New Haven and previously undefeated #1 LeMoyne this week to earn the NE10 crown. They were a team on a mission and played tremendous team lacrosse. They were not selected for the NCAA Tournament, which just doesn't feel right...

Re: NCAC 2019
I've had the opportunity to watch Denison and OWU in the same week vs my beloved Wittenberg Tigers. My observations: Both teams are still loaded with talent. Some of you who have seen these programs for a long time may not think they stack up against other years, but still very talented and still th...

Re: NCAC 2019
Wittenberg falls to Denison 17 to 10. In the end, the athleticism of Denison was too much for Witt to handle. The Big Red defense found their rhythm and took away the quality shots Witt had in the first half. The Denison offense was methodical and kept the pressure on with multi-shot possessions. No...

Re: NCAC 2019
Well look at what we have here. Wittenberg is up 6 to 5 at the half vs Denison. Witt's goalie, Max Cavellier had a great first half. The offense has been patient and the defense doing enough to keep it close. And now it's 7-5, Witt. Let's go, Witt. TigerUp!

Re: NCAC 2019
My son was recruited as an O Mid. He switched to SSDM half way through his freshman year. This year, he is one of only four or five sophomores to have played every game. He’s perfectly fine with the move. He’d rather play earlier and more often as a D mid than get pushed down the depth chart on the...

Re: NCAC 2019
Cheese....Totally agree...SSDMs and LSMs are more important than ever, especially with the shot clock....teams often don't have the time to make the wholesale changes and even when they get their offensive middies on, they can't just send multiple shots out of bounds and kill clock. Would have love...

Re: NCAC 2019
Kenyon beats Wittenberg on their home field, easily cruising to a 15-8 win. What's happened to the Tigers? Two years ago I thought they were building a nice nucleus with Moderwall.... I have watched the Wittenberg program for a number of years and they should be improving but unfortunately the prog...

Kenyon destroys Otterbein 19 to 4. Didn't see that coming. Ottolax66 - what's your take?

Re: NCAC 2019
Big NCAC game this evening, Kenyon at Otterbein. Predictions? Pre-game analysis? Fresh off of watching Otterbein win at Wittenberg this weekend and I'm predicting the following: Otterbein wins by with a final score 15 to 12. This is the strongest Otterbein team I've seen in 3 years. They are big, p...

Re: NCAC 2019
Wittenberg lost ugly at Transylvania 15-7. They never seemed to have their collective heads in the game and played from behind all day. Transylvania had the edge in every measure from face offs (18 to 7), ground balls (44 to 22), and shots (45 to 22). Just a poor overall effort. The only bright spot...

Re: NCAC 2019
Well we're a month in and Denison/OWU look vulnerable. I think it unlikely that both of the Big 2 make it through the conference season undefeated until they play each other. So who is best positioned to spring the upset? Over the last 4-5 years Kenyon and Witt have come close to OWU but never quit...

Re: NCAC 2019
The final from Springfield was IWU 20 - Witt 13. This was a much different game then last year's match up in many ways. IWU plays an aggressive, fast break style and takes a ton of quality shots. Witt could have easily thrown in the towel but kept grinding. A significant number of Witt's goals came ...

Re: NCAC 2019
What was a promising start with Wittenberg scoring first has now turned around to 7 to 1 IWU at the end of the first quarter. Witt is certainly trying to play an up tempo game but just can't keep up with the speed and physicality of IWU. Witt is moving the ball well and about even on FO wins. They n...

Re: NCAC 2019
Several NCAC teams have interesting out of conference games this weekend. Kenyon travels to Columbus to play a very good Capital team. Several programs in the OAC have closed the gap over the past few years with competitive matchups vs NCAC programs. Last year Captial beat DePauw and lost close game...

Re: NCAC 2019
Final score from Danville, KY: Wittenberg 13 - Centre College 10. Wittenberg's offensive effort was very good with scoring coming from 5 different players. Moderwell had 5 and Andrew Ellis with the hat trick. Quinn McConkey was strong at the face off winning 20 of 27 attempts. Too many turnovers, ma...

Re: NCAC 2019
Wittenberg leading 9 to 7 early in the 4th. Noah Moderwell with 5 goals. This kid has a cannon for a shot and can kill you outside or dodging to the cage.

Re: NCAC 2019
Wittenberg and Centre are tied at 5 early in the second half. Noah Moderwell and Matt Welch with 2 each for Witt. Both teams moving the ball well in a fairly penalty free game so far. Let's see what adjustments both squads make in the second half.

Re: NCAC 2019
Witt has had a solid pair of scrimmages. They beat Albion last week (winners of the MIAA the past 4 years) and easily defeated D2 Walsh 17-5 yesterday. This is a very young team coming off of a down year, so the performance so far has been a welcomed sight. Scoring has come from a number of players....
