Hard to see how they can’t play some kind of season. So many potential opponents are within an easy drive. Have them play masked. The HSs are doing this successfully.

I’m particularly confused by the tight time table. My kid is looking at schools outside the top 30. Schools that don’t commit on 9/1. Does that mean they’ll be recruiting two classes at once?

IWLCA voted to push recruiting to 7/2021 for the 2022 class. Still pending approval from the NCAA.

I’ve heard that the opportunities at D1 programs for 2021s are very limited at this point, something that is unique to this year.

No I know of several 2021s that didn’t get the offers they wanted so they enrolled in private school as 2022s.

I think the uncommitted 2021s are done. I’ve seen multiple 2021 girls reclassify to 2022 as well.

I don’t expect a refund. Our club plans for more local, video taped play dates/small tournaments. If the Steps tournaments are a go, we will attend. I can see them being pushed to the fall, which would be fine too. Being with a bigger more established club is definitely proving to be a good decision...
