LINK: D1 Men’s Lacrosse – The Week of 04.16.18

Each NCAA Men’s D1 Team is organized, top to bottom, by their 2nd Worst Loss, Worst Loss, Best Win, and 2nd Best Win.  While head-to-head wins and losses are important for close-calls, our focus is on, in order, best wins and worst losses.  For example, JHU beat SU.  But SU’s wins are better and JHU’s losses are worse.  So SU gets a higher seed.  If JHU’s wins and losses were more similar, then JHU would get the nod because of their head-to-head match-up.

This is fine, I don’t feel strongly about these rankings but… I do feel relatively strongly about other rankings being wrong.  This is why Nike/US Lacrosse is wrong.
