Sean Goldsmith is currently a sophomore at Mercer and, after 5 games, he’s averaging 5.6 Goals and 1 Assist per game.  Sean is from North Carolina where he played for Northwest Guilford HS where his father, Coach Mark Goldsmith, was his coach.  (Coach Goldsmith is currently a coach at Methodist University. Read his bio, it’s impressive.)  In HS, Sean was a 3x All-American, 3x All State, etc.  As a freshman at Mercer, he was the team’s leading scorer.  Now, as a sophomore, he’s created a pretty high trajectory and he’s flying.  Against UNC, a game that Mercer lost 14-6, Sean had 3 goals.  Mercer is not a perennial power and their Strength of Schedule is not as strong as the B1G and ACC teams but… This is unquestionably a talented kid.  And, with this said…

Hey, Sean!  Chris Gray (and many others) transferred from a non-perennial power to a perennial power for his senior year.  Just a thought…
