D2 MEN: Tournament Teams Explained
(with help from the 2019 D2 Mens Lacrosse thread)

NORTH

For LIU Post to get in, they have to win their tourney and have some good fortune.  They beat NYIT in the ECC Semis so… It’s possible, but not probable. Pace is done. Mercy is in. Merrimack’s loss to Le Moyne could’ve caused some problems but, with Pace’s loss, they’re in. The rest are in and…

Today, Seton Hill plays Walsh in the GMAC Semis.  Saturday, Le Moyne plays Adelphi in the NE-10 Final and LIU Post plays Mercy in the ECC Finals.

1 Le Moyne
2 Adelphi
3 Seton Hill
4 Mercyhurst
5 Merrimack
6 Mercy

7 Pace
8 LIU Post

SOUTH

In the South, most is set in in stone. Limestone has the #1 seed.  Their game Saturday with Indy is the only South region game left in the regular season. If Indy beats Stone they might be able to pass Abbey for the #2 seed and the other South bye. But if they lose, they could drop as well but, probably, not below the #4 seed.  So they should get a home game.  On Saturday, Indy plays Limestone.

1 Limestone
2 Belmont Abbey
3 UIndy
4 Tampa
5 Wingate
6 Queens (NC)

7 Rockhurst
8 Lynn

The NCAA Division II Men’s Lacrosse Championship provides for a twelve-team single elimination tournament. Pairings for the championship are determined by regional alignments.  Six teams from each region, North and South, will be selected.
