With 2,788 Points, Culver has undeniably set the bar. But their season is all but done with 20 games while there’s a bunch of teams with many more games to come and the potential to move the bar higher. I’m not sure who Darien’s going to play to jump them up 380 Points. Maybe it’ll be a string of minnows and medium fish that add-up. That might move them past Culver, maybe, but I highly doubt it’ll give them the #1 spot. Brunswick has Salisbury and vice-versa. West Genny, Ward-Melville, and St. Anthonys have the NY State Championships. McDonogh (and other MIAAs) have the MIAA Championship. Delbarton plays Chaminade on Saturday. I’ll be surprised if one of these teams doesn’t beat some top teams and raise the bar past Culver.
