Asterisks * – Some NCAA D1 Men’s teams are duplicitous and are designated with an asterisks.  For example, Brown beat high-ranked Villanova.  At the same time, Brown lost to a low-ranked Quinnipiac.  In time, we will know whether Brown is a low- or high-ranked team.  But, for now, Brown is duplicitous and, as a consequence, we have two entries for them. Brown is ranked #3 and they’re also ranked #61. Similarly, some teams have good wins but those wins are over duplicitous teams so it is unclear whether these good wins are really good wins.  These teams have been given asterisks as well.  For obvious reasons, the position of these asterisked teams are precarious.  Again, soon, we will know whether Brown is #3, #61, or somewhere in between.  The same holds true for the other asterisked teams.
