Every new season, every team should start with a 100% clean slate.  That is what this Ranking System does.  i.e. On Day One, every D1 team is standing on the starting line right next to every other team.  There are no pre-season seedings which give any team an advantage over any other team. Currently, we’re very much at the early stages of this season. Some teams are one game into their season while other teams are 4 games into their season. So, who is the best team in the nation at this point?  If we’re going to be intellectual honest, we need to be humble enough to say… We do not know.  But this is what we do know.
