Great tune from great, creative, yet underrated album...Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus

Context: this was released in 1970, three years before Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Who influenced who? I always considered this Spirit album, the Moody Blues on acid. :D Spirit obviously influenced by Moodys.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17YuScy ... nc&index=1

The original recording had just 12 songs ending in Soldier, thus the title. Youtube added a few extras.

Nice pick FOL!

lyrics:

The wheel is turning and you can't slow down
You can't let go and you can't hold on
You can't go back and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more
Round, round, Robin run around
Gotta get back where you belong
Little bit harder, just a little bit more
Little bit further than you gone before
The wheel is turning and you can't slow down
You can't let go and you can't hold on
You can't go back and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will
Small wheel turning by the fire and rod
Big wheel turning by the grace of God
Every time that wheel turn round
Bound to cover just a little more ground
The wheel is turning and you can't slow down
You can't let go and you can't hold on
You can't go back and you can't stand still
If the thunder don't get you then the lightning will
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more
Won't you try just a little bit harder
Couldn't you try just a little bit more

great guitar work - interesting words

My new favorite little princess is back, this little sweetie is beyond special.
Her presence and command of the stage/audience is remarkable...15 yrs old.
She began her world tour with Andre Rieu today, that's a pretty big deal, not
a bad gig. Am really glad he's taken her under his wing.

[/quote]Twelve Dreams was produced by David Briggs. To me the production was a big change from their previous albums. I was fortunate enough to see them at the final Jubalee week in Chapel Hill. They were the lead act the first day. The next da was the Allman Bros and the third day was J Giels. In between were Muddt Waters, Alex Taylor, Cowboy and others. Spirit was great, Cassidys drum set up with the double bass drums, one on either side was cool. Ah Mister Skin..

I'm jealous Richard. Would loved to have seen Spirit. Also, I never saw the Allman Bros but can put checks next to Dickey Betts and Great Southern, and J Giels Band on my concert list. Sounds as though Jubalee was an amazing event. Good for you.

My daughter and I were set to see The FIXX for first time in Dec but keyboardist had some sort of accident and they cancelled the remainder of their tour. Bummer... original members still together since the 80's!

The FIXX live at Spring Break many moons ago:

I had said I hope we get to see some of these
performances.
Very soon I'll be posting the full videos of my tour. Thanks for your support and comments. I appreciate them all ❤️😊

Did you watch the first one I put up in about fourteen different places?
I don't know how this one doesn't just blow even a hard marker out of
the water. If you haven't watched it, do yourself a favor and do.

More excited about the boys this year than I have been for a few years.
I like the feel, some who have come in and some from last year's team.
I think Cuse lacrosse is going to be exciting this year and more competitive
than they have been the past few years. Fired up about the wlaxers too, got
the season ticket which includes both the m & w laxers. $110..sweet deal,
comes to less than $7 a ticket.
Oh, and GO CUSE!!!!!
