We had a rather popular thread about this topic in the old forum.

It's time to bring it back ....

Put a couple of drops of vinegar in the cocktail sauce, write out the recipe for said sauce, have fortune cookies for dessert, and brush off the table at feast's end and you've got 'em all covered.

Please tell me dis you would not ruin a clam by deep frying it? There is only one way to eat clams... fresh shucked, ice cold with a dash of cocktail sauce and a drizzle of franks red hot. Followed by a nice chug of cold beer. I am going to miss hinerwadles to no end. Maybe Dmac can improvise his own personal bake in the cuse to make us all feel better. Dmac… are you up to the challenge?

Absolutely not up for that challenge but do have a solution. Will meet you and the Mrs. at the Spinning Wheel and you'll no longer miss Hinerwadle's.
Agree on the clams, raw #1 with a dash of cocktail sauce (or nothing at all), pass on the red hot (I'd eat it, but better without it), steamed #2, deep fried only if #1 & 2 are not available.

How about we deep fry Guy Fieri extra crispy. What a waste that his butt ever touch the seat of a classic Camaro.

To respect the day, I'd suggest scrapple with a dash of Louisiana hot sauce, eaten while wearing an Elmer Fudd hat. Flaps down, of course.
...and as a Cuse boy I know about scrapple too. That is, enough to know to stay away from it!!!
