Great series on NOVA. As the one lady said in that episode, “Science is like Alice in Wonderland, anything is possible”.

Ok. You believe her characterization applies to all science? You may be mischaracterizing her comments. It’s out of context. As your E.E buddies if in all disciplines of science “anything is possible”

Thanks for posting that. One of the greatest books I ever read was a biography about Alexander.

Yup, but Mercury can't climb against gravity with the assistance of a magnet.

I was shocked when I asked my MD wife about it. She was totally unaware. Seems to be a pretty tightly held secret so as not to alarm people.

The big news today was the release of the first high magnification "image" of a black hole. The black hole is 53 million light years from earth. It should be noted that this is not a visible light image. It is a radio telescope image acquired with a large baseline radio interferometer. This amounts to simultaneous images taken by multiple radio telescopes spread all over the world. The color in the image is "pseudo color".

It is very very concerning. Not knowing the origin is very troubling.

The human body is just not made for extended time in space. All kinds of systems you would not have guessed are affected.
