If it was all about the money I would take JMU with the 1.5 goals but just can’t help hoping the hoos win this one . Easy team to like in that they have not been relevant for some time , have several players who are very underrated and really have no “ super star “.
The one that stands out to me is I would take the under on number of UVA players who get in the game . I would say 5 attack/offensive middies , 4 true middies , 1 goalie , 6 defenders/defensive middies giving me a 1 player cushion .

I've got three games today!
Slow week continues, but at least today more games that are intriguing (to me at least).

Game 1: JMU @ UVA. The Battle for the Commonwealth as the top 2 teams in the state put it on the line today. Both teams have a lot to prove. JMU wants to prove their ranking (even though it has been dropping a bit), and the Hoos want to prove they are back and a legit threat in not only the ACC (yes I'm aware this is a non-conference matchup), but also come May Madness. The Dukes can flat out score (17.5 ppg) and the Hoos aren't too far behind at 14.5 ppg - 8 notching double digit goals on the season. UVA seems to have a more balanced attack, but JMU still has multiple goal scoring threats. Just typing this out has me flip-flopping, but I'm sticking to my guns. The home field advantage at Klockner and the 5 game winning streak pushes the Hoos over the edge. Over under on blue and orange bow ties?
UVA -1.5

Game 2: UMD @ GTown. A mere 20 miles give or take seperates these two programs. The gap in coaching and talent seems to be much greater. Probably not a hot game for most, but I'd be at this one if not for another commitment since it's close to home. Despite their lack of O, look for the Terps to light it up today. This one won't be close and I expect a running clock. The trends continue for both squads. Reese's girls will grab their 5th W in a row, while Ricky's Hoyas will unfortunately collect their 8th L in a row.
Terps -12.5

Game 3: Navy @ Loyola. A Patriot League battle comes to Baltimore today. Another neighborly matchup as the Midshipmen look to take the bark out of the Hounds. But does Navy have enough to give Loyola their first blemish of the season? Not today says this scribe. This will only be the third tough matchup for Navy of the season going 1-1 in the previous 2 where the Hounds seem to be battle tested quite a few times this season winning some close (and not so close) games against a few teams that are in or sniffing at the top 25. Look for Loyola to protect their home turf today and move to 8-0.
Loyola -5.5

I being an expert gambler would usually stay away from these games. If there was a money line I certainly would throw a few sheckles towards Navy because I think it would be something like +350. But in the spirit of the games. I’ll take all three dogs including Gtown. While I think they get smashed. I’m seeing an 11 point deficit here.

Good job as usually Spidey. Thanks for taking the time.

I know football gives 6 on 2 teams, and 9 on 3 team. Interested to see how the proprietor rules.

(To be clear on this one, if I think there will be a green card in the first 10 minutes and 30 seconds of the 1st quarter, I would take what? Over or Under?)

Number of man-down goals in game O/U 1.5

(To be clear on this one, shorthanded goal or any power play goal?)

An under bet means there will be a green card in first 10:30 of the game.

Man-down goals are only goals scored by the short-handed team.

Friday Night Lights!

Post by spidey44 »

Is this the first game under the lights in Clemson's new stadium??? The Tigers coming off a bad loss to an up and coming Louisville team. Tonight they host the Irish and expect much of the same when Clemson faces a ranked opponent. Notre Dame is ready to part ways with the close game (last 5 games have been 1 or 2 goal games!) and I expect them to do so tonight. Expect big nights from Wolak and Ahern (combined goals 8+ +125). Clemson won't be able to slow down the Irish and the week of rest will have done little good. I expect Notre Dame to control this game from start to finish. Don't worry Clemson fans! Your girls will get back in the winning column on Sunday when they face their northern neighbor and powerhouse Queens!

Notre Dame -8.5

If Clemson hasn't fixed the height of the camera recording the action, it's going to very unpleasant to watch.

ND should easily hold serve the rest of the way. Don’t expect and more close ones for them until mid-May!
