I feel like most people who complain about "woke" have no idea what the definition of "woke" is.

It's one of the new boogeymen.

When I woke up this morning did that me woke?? Anybody that faces any accusation that they are "woke " recoils in horror as their rectums pucker up like a snare drum. I thought being "woke" would be worn as a red badge of courage? I've seen a similar reaction from the usual suspects on this forum. FTR there are a couple of posters that are proud to strut their FLP status. Other folks recoil in horror and their rectums pucker up at admitting their perspectives on political issues might not be as moderate as they claim.
Why are some of you so afraid about admitting where you really stand?

How Progressives ruin cities. San Francisco for example.

I remember growing up when Rice a Roni was the San Francisco treat. In 2024 the new San Francisco treat is something you hope you don't step in while walking to work.

Would not surprise us to learn that China is also in the pockets of the officials of these cities, with the notion that this has urban-to-rural sprawl. Playing the long look, to to tear us apart thread by thread. Portland is now having that come to Jesus moment where their progressiveness with drugs is now pivoting back to norms, as they watched the problem and their citizenry health decline....must have cost them too much cash, othewise they would have likely not pivoted. We are enabling China to set up camp on our southern border to infiltrate and get us further hooked on low priced drugs. I've argued we need this influx of bodies in the USA as are population is in decline AND more and more become either killed or hooked on drugs; death by 1000 cuts.

How Progressives ruin cities. San Francisco for example.

Spent a recent weekend in SF for a wedding. I used to go there on business a lot back in the day, but had not been there for a while.

It was awesome -- great restaurants, museums, waterfront, hills, views, neighborhoods, architecture etc. etc. etc. At the beautiful glittering black tie wedding reception, a friend and I were talking about how great a city SF was and were comparing notes on all the cool things we had done during our stay.

A MAGA doofus tool we both know comes up and cuts in to say "isn't it interesting how all these cities run by Democrats, who supposedly care about the poor, have been turned into complete shirt holes." After a few minutes the tool strolls away in his monogrammed velvet slippers.

Once the tool is out of ear shot, my buddy deadpans (in light of the earlier conversation) "funny, the city really didn't look like a shirt hole to me."

We both wet our tux pants laughing.

Cities have only the powers the state constitution and legislatures give them unless tgere is an iver-riding federal interest. Solutions run afoul of right wing political interests.

It's a good thing to recognize and accept that everyone is different. In every way. Period.

But the left's desire to go a step further and celebrate fringe behaviors and very personal choices that is offensive.
