Salisbury 2024

The Gulls take on Cabrini, 2 days before the start of the CLC tournament, in what will likely be the Cavaliers’ last regular season game ever. Anyone see Berkman calling off the dogs early in this one?

I would say yes. They're going to have a buy in the 1st round anyway.

Burying my guys already? Kidding. I get it. From my side of the fence, I'm just thankful all of our contemporaries kept us on the schedule and honored their commitments. I would anticipate, if they remain relatively healthy, an overmatched, but inspired Cavs squad will give the Gulls some decent work for a quarter or so. Maybe longer. But whatever Coach Deluca puts together scheme wise won't be far off from a framework Coach Berkman figured out years ago. Y'all have so many weapons. Really excited to take in the CNU match-ups.

More on that to come… hearing Dowd is back, and even stronger.

Yeah Dowd and Brown are both back. If you watch that video from the OSU Dowd talks about being named captain and such.

Will be curious to hear about other newcomers

Cole Herbert not eligible for the season, able to return for the 2025 season but unsure since he will graduate this year. He was slated to be 4th midfielder after Dowd, bromwell, and Nestor. Was very excited to see how he would contribute.

Did Salisbury just learn that he isn’t eligible? Or was it bad grades?

It was due to credits I believe, since the two time transfer rule doesn't apply to D3.

I really thought Coach was going to do some NCAA rule magic like he did with Malamphy.

A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

So sad for him. But love the focus and determination. Prayers and thoughts with he and his family.

I sat through a homily once, years ago, at a Catholic Church (St Thomas) in Glen Mills, PA. I'm not Catholic. I go on the off occasion my wife feels compelled, and an annual visit to St Charles Barameo in Drexel Hill, PA, my father's parish. During the homily the priest laid out the number of days we all typically live, communicated the countdown that we all are a part of. Changed the totals based on being 20-30-40-50 years old. He instilled a sense of urgency, action, appreciation, and joy. It really stuck with me. It's a challenge for everyone to stay present and joyful. We are inundated with stimuli that push us back in time or forward in time. Reading Johnny's self-authored GoFundMe page description made me pause and be present. It's clear he is blessed with a mind that is able to center itself. Articulate, authentic, powerful, resilient. What an incredible example he's setting.

Gulls scoring McNemar from Towson is huge. Starter. defensive captain. Wondering if he will have 2 years left or just 1 after his 4 years spent playing at Towson. Heard DI only got 1 covid year not 2 like DIII.

That’s a great question. Technically, NCAA said 2020 and 2021 didn’t count against you for D3. If he played D1 those years, he used eligibility based on NCAA guidelines. He should only have one year remaining.
