Elizabethtown (10-5) (8-0) dispatched Juniata (2-14) (0-8) 26-3 to set up their game against Susquehanna on Saturday, which will be a factor in determining the first seed for the Landmark tournament. If Elizabethtown wins, they will sew up the #1 seed. If Susquehanna wins, we could be looking at a tie-breaker which could also involve Scranton if they beat Moravian.
Colin Kondracki, Gavin Gismondi, Tristam Coleman and Landon Scully had 3 goals each with Kondracki adding an assist.

Kolton Black had 2 goals for Juniata, which was limited to just 14 shots by the Blue Jays defense.

Landmark Conference Athletes of the Week - April 22

Men's Lacrosse Offensive: Riley Langen (Elizabethtown College)
Elizabethtown's Riley Langen put up 10 points this past week, including seven on the road at Catholic as the Blue Jays went 2-0 and are now the lone unbeaten left in the Landmark heading into the final week of the season. Langen turned in a key performance for the Jays as they won their first road contest at Catholic since 2016. Langen scored four goals and added three assists as Etown dominated the fourth quarter to pull away and get the win. Langen scored a pair of goals and an assist as the Jays recorded a season-high 30 goals, 20 assists, and 50 points against Wilkes on Saturday. He finished the week with six goals and four assists.

Men's Lacrosse Defensive: TJ Chapman (Elizabethtown College)
Elizabethtown senior TJ Chapman won two-thirds of his face-offs this past week for the Blue Jays, including 13 on the road at Catholic in a 14-9 road win against the Cardinals. Chapman tied a season-high with nine ground balls at Catholic before setting a new career-high on Saturday with 19 face-off wins and 11 ground balls to provide plenty of possessions for the Blue Jays.

Final regular season games today. All start at 1:00 PM.

The biggest game is Elizabethtown (10-5) (8-0) at Susquehanna (13-3) (7-1). Elizabethtown clinches the #1 seed with a win. If Susquehanna wins, the seeds will be determined by the tiebreaker.

Moravian (9-7) (5-3) is at Scranton (9-7) (7-1). If Scranton wins and Susquehanna wins, there will be a three-way tie for the #1 seed and the tiebreaker will be needed. Moravian can be the #4 seed with a win or either #5 or #6 if they lose.

Lycoming (4-8) (2-6) is at Goucher (8-8) (2-6).

Wilkes (4-11) (1-7) is at Catholic (8-8) (4-4). If Catholic and Moravian both win, there will be a tie with 5-4 records and Moravian will be the #4 seed based on their 11-10 overtime win over Catholic. If Catholic wins and Moravian loses, Catholic will be the #4 seed.

Juniata (2-14) (0-8) is at Drew (9-7) (4-4). Drew will be in the playoffs as either #5 or #6.

Elizabethtown, Scranton and Susquehanna all finish at 8-1.
Based on the tiebreaker, it looks like Elizabethtown will be the #1 seed, with Susquehanna at #2 and Scranton at #3.

If Catholic defeats Wilkes later today, the Cardinals, Moravian and Drew will all finish at 5-4.
Based on the tiebreaker, Catholic will be #4, Moravian #5 and Drew #6.

The schedule on Tuesday looks like Catholic will host Moravian and Scranton will host Drew in the opening round of the Landmark tournament.

Hey Joe, can you explain a little bit more? I thought with the head-to-head over Etown, and goal differential in the games, SU would be the #1 seed. What is the tie breaker criteria?

Edit: Nvm... I thought SU's head to head over Etown meant they would get it, but with Etown's shellacking of Scranton I see how you got there.

Susquehanna gets its first win over a very talented, very well coached Etown since the 2018 regular season. They also did so without their leading points scorer and quarterback, Jack Gaillard, who had been phenomenal all year. With today’s performance, I think Susquehanna goalie Jozef Koerpics solidified his spot as a first team all conference keeper. He held a 65% save percentage this season along with 7 average goals against. Further, he had 4 points this year including 2 goals.

Coach Moan has the hawks rolling into the post-season and has done so while short-staffed. He is beyond deserving of coach of the year in my (obviously unbiased) eyes.

And lastly, it is a bad night to be bots tavern. Roll hawks!

Yes. The third tiebreaker is goal differential between the three teams tied at 8-1. Elizabethtown's 14-5 over Scranton is the decider (even though it is limited to 7 goals differential).

Korpics has to be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year if not the favorite. He seems to have 15+ saves a game and keeps things close before the Susquehanna offense can pull it out in the fourth quarter. He also has two goals on the year.... He may be a lock for DPOY.

You are correct. It was a toss-up between Pierce and Korpics.
Both are defensive game changers for their teams

Another possibility for Defensive Player of the Year is ssdm Connor Stewart from Elizabethown. He has 62 groundballs and 25 CTOs. And on top of that 14 goals and 7 assists. Might be the best overall player in the conference.

I agree that Stewart is the best two-way middie in the history of the Landmark Conference.

it brings to mind the career of Marcus Cheatham, Susquehanna '13. He was a ground ball machine, grabbing 276 for his career. Four-time All-Conference, three of those times a first-teamer. First Susquehanna player named All-America, honorable mention in 2013. Member of the first Landmark All-Decade team. Now works at Under Armour.
