How worried should I be about concussions?

My daughter is 12U & doing great in Lax but she does even better in academics (so far). I"m pretty worried about concussions, I've seen some data that shows a high concussion rate for girls lax. Higher than boys lax & higher than most other youth sports.

From people who have older daughters, multiple kids, and/or played themselves how worried should I be?
