york was looking past eastern. it happens all of the time. Sports even has a term for it. it’s called a trap game.
In a conference tournament when you have to win the AQ to keep your season going, that's called inexcusable.

I watched a few games this season at York when they were playing MAC opponents. There definitely seemed to be a different energy when they played Stevenson compared to when they played other teams in the conference.

I am saying that York has Stevenson number. If it was York vs Stevenson last night I believe it would have been York. All year I was saying Stevenson, but after regular season handling I came up with the theory that York has stevensons’s number

Yorks Super Bowl is Stevenson. Don't want that to sound as bad as it does, but it's the truth. Does York have Stevensons number right now? Definitely.

At the end of the day can't look past opponents, that's what York did.

your comment doesnt make sense. york hasn't lost to stevenson in years. york has been to tourney for the past several years while stevenson sits at home in may. stevenson is just another MAC game.
now if Stevenson manages to win the mac for the next 5 or 6 seasons in a row, and york is sitting at home in may, then maybe that would make sense sense

in reality, york is Stevensons superbowl. and as you and most stevenson fans were saying, stevenson didn't have much of a chance of changing the results from the last meeting. the defense couldn't stop York attack and stevenson attack was no match for york defense. when stevenson learned that york was out, they all had a collective sigh

Jack I can promise you York is just another opponent to those boys. York played up and down to competition all year. Stevenson happened to have their worst game against York and York had their best game. Kudos to the Spartans for handling business.

But Stevenson is and has been the standard in the conference well before York entered it. Last 3-4 years have been tough for us alumni and fans. Throw the recency bias out the window. If York was the best team they would've won the conference, they didn't. Point blank period.

Furthermore, I don't really know if anyone was beating Stevenson last night given the circumstances surrounding the program and what is going on in the world. It was their day and they earned it.

Half true, the standard changed when York joined the conference. They have no one to blame but themselves for this season (did they not take Eastern seriously? Were they just that flawed of a team? who knows), but the results overall speak for themselves.

Here’s my shot at it. (Some teams slide M-A and D-LSM, I tried to stay within what position was listed on the roster when available, so take it with a grain of salt- it’s just for fun anyways)

OPOTY
A. Teresky Messiah

DPOTY
D. Blackmon York

Specialist OTY
FO. Facciponti York

Coach OTY
Dan Carson Messiah
The Coach OTY really cannot be anyone other than Messiah's Carson.

Every other team significantly underachieved their pre-season prediction (thru the regular season when votes were cast).

Gossen being the ROY should surprise no one. Gossen and Curtis on attack for the Mustangs for the foreseeable future is going to be a problem.

Scorese doesn't deserve this but he somehow made it.

Awesome for Stevenson (except the low class nonsense at the end- way to take the thunder away from a motivating story line). Hope they keep the CR push going.

I’m also very excited to see Stevens get some more runs versus strong competition. I think they have the horses on the team to run with a lot of groups.

Horrible look for the program. Kid is a 6th senior with tons of experience and accolades. Inexcusable behavior.

Great team win, these young guys on offense can truly play some lacrosse. Scorese stood on his head today.

I’m not sure which attack-man you are talking about, but to me, one player does stand out. Jack Savarese deserves way more than just an honorable mention. He just broke the all-time goal record for Stevens and is on the verge of breaking the all-time point record, and all he gets is a lousy HM? Either the MAC teams are purposely ignoring him, or the coach is not pulling for him. I’m not one to jump to conclusions, but let’s face it, he was the top points scorer last season on the team and didn’t even get first-team all-conference or all-American recognition. Maybe something is going on in that locker room, and it’s starting to look like the coach isn’t in his corner. I can’t be the only one that thinks this.

Personally, I doubt Cantabene will. But there was most definitely a conversation had that was most likely unpleasant for the player.
