Where has everyone gone? This used to be a lively place.

Hasn't had the same number of active participants since when LaxPower needed to be replaced by FanLax...not everyone transitioned.

But spread the word!
More participants adds to the information sharing...

I'm no longer in Baltimore most of the time so am not getting to games the same way, nor any longer have a kid in school or coaching in MIAA.

Still watch some games online, though...just don't have as many friends with kids coming through, so not the same...

Really appreciate Slim keeping the scores, standings...

People can use this as bulletin board material if they want. But, as of right now, it seems like, in no order:

Calvert Hall, Boys' Latin, and McDonogh are at least a small step above everyone else.

That appears fair, albeit as we know all too well, teams 4-6 and maybe even 4-8, in any given year, all have the possibility of late runs to the Championship.

But the favorites to be playing in that game certainly would be 2 of those 3 at this point.

Unexpected upsets are as frequent as consistent dominance end to end in this league. And no one appears fully dominant.

I see a lot of parity. Calvert Hall could have beaten BL but Gilman could have beaten CHC. McD certainly is not the dominant team I saw last year. I could see anyone of four different teams taking the whole thing.

Gilman and Spalding are certainly capable on any given day as well. Both teams have the firepower to take down one of the top dogs.

Friday nights game at Calvert Hall vs Spalding will go a long way in determining the #2 seed assuming Boys' Latin beats Severn and St. Paul's and is the #1 seed. I have a hard time seeing BL stumbling in either of those games. Both Calvert Hall and Spalding beat McDonogh so they have the head-to-head tiebreaker there. The winner will probably have to win their final game on Tuesday, Calvert Hall at Loyola and Spalding vs Mt. St. Joe. If Spalding wins on Friday, McDonogh could end up the #4 seed, and if they win the quarter-final game play BL in the semi-final game. Lots of possibilities with only 2 league games left but the cream is starting to rise to the top.

The Ivy League named 3 former MIAA players to their first team in 2024.

Matt Brandau Boy's Latin Yale
Sam King Gilman. Harvard
Jack Stuzin. Gilman. Yale

Brandau was also named POY and is a strong candidate for Tewey.

What's the tie break criteria should there be a 4-way tie at the top at 8-2?

So, the “ McGarveys invitational “ starts next week. Bring the MIAA Championship back to Baltimore! You want to do Annapolis every 3 yrs fine . But this is old.

From what I can tell:
Boys' Latin #1 and Spalding #2 each get a bye on Friday.

#6 Loyola plays at #3 Calvert Hall - winner gets Spalding next Tuesday at NMCMS.
#5 Gilman plays at #4 McDonogh - winner get Boys' Latin next Tuesday at NMCMS.

The ironic thing is that the quarter-final games are the same match-ups from yesterday 8-)

I think you need to switch Calvert Hall and McDonogh?
