Lotsa lacrosse left.
True but the ACC may end up with 3 teams in now, previously people predicted all 5. Whoever is left out of the ACC tournament is automatically out, whoever is place 4 is 50-50 of getting in
who predicted unc would be in? anyone? or all 5? there are lots of lacrosse games to be played, but 3-4 acc teams has been fairly typical, and if this year repeats that, it's just another year.

The fact that they're scoring as well as they are with such a glaring issue speaks to the really high level of talent they have, but the talent they can put on the field isn't balanced and is redundant.

If you look at the guys who get run on offense, only Spallina (sometimes, and not against top cover guys as we've seen), Leo , English and Rhoa can beat their man and get the defense sliding. So at very most you've got three dodging threats on the field at the same time, if that's even the lineup we're seeing. Getting Stevens back may help, but I'm not super familiar with his game. When you split these guys over two midfield lines (Rhoa on the second I believe), it's even more limiting.

You've got Hiltz, Mulé, Thomson, Birtwhistle and against the best, Spallina, who aren't able to beat their man. The first four guys aren't worrying you much against an average ACC SSDM. These guys are all great finishers, move off ball and can do amazing things with their sticks but you've got seriously diminishing returns once more than two of them are on the field together.

Losing Stevens and English next year will be a huge loss, not to mention their goalie and Olexo who may be the most under appreciated player in D1 right now. But as others have pointed out, they're two goals away from being undefeated, losing in OT against two teams that may both be top five, certainly top 10 opponents. Young defense needs to tighten up when they slide/not get lost and young offensive players need to stop forcing things/throwing the ball away early in the possession. Will they make the tourney? It will be really tough but they the players to do it. Just up to them to play smarter and keep being competitive at the face-off x.
Unclear if he will use it but English actually has another year of eligibility. Maybe more turnover then people think though, some rumblings both good and bad.

English would be a huge return for them, can do it all and also uncoverable with a shorty.

Offense has scored more goals against Maryland and Army defenses than any other opponent . Speed and dodging abilty of attack trio may not be ideal but sufficient and the offense overall is a clear strength. To be even more potent Hiltz and mid Thomson have to be more consistent and play up to their capabilities. Shooting of latter has been woeful this year and his pt should decrease if it continues. Rhoa diversified skills and Birtwhistle powerful shot should be utilized more. Leo is a emerging star and both he and Rhoa and even English could occasionally invert if brainrust ever considered adjustments . Dont think we've seen the best of Stevens yet . Fogo is more than solid and backup Mullen will be one of the better fogos over the next four years. Mark makes remarkable saves but hasn't been as superb to date as last year . One concern is still defense against better offenses, backline is capable but more a collection of twos and ssdm has yet to find a strong complement to a AA caliber Rice which perplexes since finally have some depth with options to draw from. Hopkins game is somewhat critical, plenty of opportunities remain for signature win getting late early.

Spallina 3q factored, putting passes right on stick . Cuse exploited Hop propensity to slide in 3q

Is Mason Kohn going to be the first college athlete (any sport) to be 1st Team AA in D3 and 1st Team AA in D1 in consecutive seasons?

After watching Syracuse, I can’t believe all the hype around Spallina. Guy can’t dodge. Nice finisher and reminds me of Nate Solomon.

Their face off guy is legit. Crazy he’s been there so long and now is starting to dominate.

Great win for Cuse. Mason Kohn is a beast. Clearly the difference in a great Lax game.

I thought they called it consistently, so players knew what they could expect. The players played this one, it wasn't dominated by the refs. Nice win for Syracuse -- terrific second half on offense and a great game all day in net and at the X.

Mason Kohn transferred from D3 Tufts last summer, this is his first season with Syracuse and playing D1 lacrosse.

Joey doesn't separate often and sometimes plays into the hands of doubles by turning his back but does have excellent vision and passing skills.
6 pts tonight on 2g and 4 a and was quite impactful in the 2h

Kohn and Mullen are quite a 1-2 punch
