GOP caves?
Classic garbage headlines from the washPost. what a joke they have become.

But, nice try. Find the article where tRump actually SIGNS the bill, making it into law. We'll be waiting.
The quote I provided is what the Post put out.

How about:

This bill was signed by the President on July 1st. Do an internet search for coverage . You will find little to nothing. No washingPost, no ny slimes. CNN/MSNBC/FOX.........nothing.

Why is that?

Interesting that all of the US Senators running for President did NOT vote.

And, 176 pretend CONservatives voted to support humanitarian aid for illegals detained. (sure, private prisons benefit ), but isn't this an example of reaching across the isle? Working together? It's get ZERO discussion in the MSM. Or even on this website.

Why is that?
Because they could have signed this freaking bill...and comprehensive Immigration Reform... two years ago and didn't.

Why is that?

Not that this is possibly a GOOD thing.....What the heck afan, I think the grass has all but became nasty, tick infested, poison ivy. On the right side of your centrist fence upon which theath shall be seated . Oh, you TALK about that side of the fence, but neglect it where it matters.

170+ gop house voted for it. pretty much every gop senator did as well. tRump signed it. News......GOOD NEWS.

as a footnote, funny how only certain people get called out for "whataboutisms". Very funny. funny, ha ha, like a clown funny.

If you think that I'm going to get excited about them applying a temporary bandaid for an "emergency" that Trump intentionally created.....I don't know what to say. Moreover: you think this bill fixes the problem? Really? How?

Noticed you skipped right over my question to you: what was keeping them from signing this EXACT bill at any time over the last two years? Politics....they were waiting to be able to blame the Dems. And they were rewarded for doing so....and you seem to want to reward them, too.

Answer that question, and I'll be happy to discuss my centrism.

You seem to think being a centrist means to give the party that is actually in charge of our government a pass. Libs, the left, the Dems, whatever you'd like to call them have no power right now. Who has ever said "you need to speak truth to those who hold no power".

Show me the Immigration/Visa Reform bill on the floor of the Senate in 2019, and I'd push you out of the way, and cheer for the Republicans for finally addressing the problem.

Where's the bill? Trump ran on it last election, and is running on it again: with no intention of actually producing a solution. This whole thing is about votes, not solutions.

Your original post listed several MSM sources, and stated there was no coverage. I found you some...

The quote in my initial response was part of a longer article, but it clearly states the president signed the bill. So while the coverage was minimal, it was there... And the prior coverage of the House vs. Senate efforts was amply covered, including the House passage over some of the most liberal Democratic members objections of the Senate bill.

Why is it so important that the signing be covered more extensively?

Extensively? It was NOT covered. At ALL. I did a washPost search, found nothing about the July 1st signing. Maybe you can have better luck.

Another content lemming. 347 to 1 ratio, "news" stories that include tRump-Epstein to anything positive about tRump (NEVAH Bill Clinton...we know, we know....HE's not POTUSA anymore )

It's only "important" because its GOOD NEWS.......proof that Congress CAN work together.

Daily 202 newsletter about goings-on in Washington: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/pow ... ee9987a074

Full section about the signing:
-- Trump himself said he did not know anything about the Facebook posts when he was asked about the story in the Oval Office last night. Then he praised Border Patrol agents. “I don’t know what they’re saying about members of Congress,” the president told reporters who had assembled to watch him sign the bill that passed Congress last week to appropriate $4.6 billion in emergency aid for the border. “I know that the Border Patrol is not happy with the Democrats in Congress. … The Border Patrol, they’re patriots. They’re great people. They love our country. They know what’s coming in.” (Watch Trump's minute-long answer.)

Your article , as far as I had the patience to keep looking, had NOTHING regarding the joint US COngress doing the right thing. 14, a grand total of 14 comments. What's that tell you?

Are you trying to prove that less than 1% of this link mentions humanitarian aid for children who cross illegally with their families? good job.

Whaddaya know. After focusing all their reporting resources on the Trump-Russia-collusion story, it fizzled.
So now the Grey Lady is changing course to focus on Trump's racism. How original.
Can't wait for an exciting self-licking season #2.

Chris Cuomo: Trump ‘is Not Aging’ Because He Doesn’t Care Enough For The Country

“It’s been almost three years since Trump won the presidency,” Chris Cuomo said during his CNN show, “Cuomo Prime Time,” on Tuesday. “He looks exactly the same.”

“His hair is—I don’t know what’s going on with that. But he may do thi

We may be short on stupid for a while. There’s a warrant for Jacob Wohl. Who can forget his plot to ensnare Robert Mueller in a sex scandal?

At the end of his long legal struggle to remain silent Andrew Miller has said he will testify at the Roger Stone trial. This is not, I repeat, not, the Hopkins middie from William Floyd HS.

And not a bit of the warrant is concerning his recent attempts at fooling the public. All related to his attempts to unlawfully sell securities in CA back when he was about 17. Warrant was issued to "toll" the statute of limitations on the crime.
