From UVA's roster concerning Schutz: 2023 – “Where will Griffin be on the field in 2023? The question is still an open-ended one as we enter the preseason. Sidelined for the second-half of the Fall, Griffin was utilized mostly on attack prior to his injury. He can use speed, quickness and physicality to create separation from a close defenseman behind the goal and draw slides, opening up teammates for step-downs and crease shots. But Griffin dodging “downhill” from the top is certainly an exciting option for Coach Kirwan to initiate our half-field offense.” - Lars Tiffany

Quint Kessenich concerning Nicky Solomon at G'town: 1) Georgetown

The Hoyas are the class of the Big East and have raised the level of their non-conference schedule with the likes of Hopkins, Princeton, Penn, Notre Dame, Richmond, High Point, and Lehigh. The Swamp Dogs finally have a viable second midfield with Aidan Carroll, Nicky Solomon and freshmen Patrick Crogan.

Neither team has played a game and both players have come in at both attack and midfield in the scrimmages.

They've been doing it for years. If it's the same as years passed, it's one of those where you get $100 and each player costs x dollars and whoever gets the most productivity out of their $100 spent wins that week. New game each week.

Matt - Can you recap what S*, 8, 5, Q, F*, and 6 means? Are those just backups for the semi-finals/finals, week 5, 6, and 8 if there are cancellations or will those weeks actually count in the future?

The season is Week 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and then, not so relevant for you but for others in the league, Q (Quarterfinals), S (Semifinals), and F (Finals).
An asterisks means it's a back-up.

I would not be at all surprised to see Schutz back at attack pretty soon. He was 0-7 shooting in the game he played midfield, right? I have the opposite player, Xander Dickson. He plays attack when Schutz plays midfield. So, for now he's an attackman.
