They are in the south, i will do south predictions soon. They are definitely the most improved last year. They broke the dominance that the North had on Texas.

Re: Texas 2019
pretty good take. St. John's looks to be pretty good this year, I think they peak next year. EHS may surprise some, but they are going to continue to be very young.hooligan88 wrote:South DI Predictions

Re: Texas 2019
Anyone have any updates regarding the Grapevine and Wakeland teams that are trying to form but being told no from the THSLL? According to their social media, Grapevine seems to be charging forward with fall ball. Lots of football players joining that team as well.
Re: Texas 2019
I heard there was a coaching change in Prosper
Any truth to that?
State meeting coming up. Beside the NCAA rule changes is there any changes that the league is looking into doing?

The Central would have no idea.
Speaking of Central, where's the Central ranking predictions?

Re: Texas 2019

Re: Texas 2019
Plano West has a strong team and lots of talent. St. Marks lost a lot of talent.
Re: Texas 2019
Prosper program ran out of money this summer. Lots of upheaval over there.laxman wrote:I heard there was a coaching change in Prosper

Re: Texas 2019
Sounds like a board problem.
That is sad.

Re: Texas 2019
Here's what I think of the central...
Should be a 3 way race in the central between WL, LT, and Dripping Springs. Both WL and LT lost a ton of talent that made up the cores of their teams for the last few years and have new head coaches (though Delfausse is obviously very familiar with the central district). WL and LT seem to reload not rebuild and should certainly be the favorites but this year just feels more wide open than the past. Dripping Springs is the dark horse here because although they lost 2 prolific scorers, my understanding is basically the entire team is back and their biggest and best class yet (2020) are now upperclassmen, also Caffarata has been there a long time and they seem to be gaining a lot of ground on the big dogs the last few years.
Austin and Vandy should fight for fourth. Austin returns the all district coach, 3 senior poles (2 all state, 1 all district) and a senior goalie (honorable mention all district) but one has to wonder if those awards were justified as they gave up like 17 to LT in the district semis, and like 14 to Dripping springs in the 3rd place game. From what I understand depth is their biggest problem. Vandy seems to have a few nice pieces (especially f/o middie) but have a big hole in the goal. They haven't really seemed to get much better under Cometti but maybe this is the year.
Anderson should finish 6th, and it seems their ceiling would be 5th. They lost a big and talented senior class.
From what I've heard the Round Rock coach is doing good things but they will probably finish last as they were pretty far behind the aforementioned 6 teams and the teams they would have passed (Bowie and Cedar Park) dropped down to D2.
