I wouldn't put too much stock into fall scores.

Otherwise, I'd say- Let the boys run! Heard a rumor the Hawks were gonna try to sharpen the faceoff unit, get a couple extra wins per game, and push it on offense. That would be fun to see. And I think they would be successful. Especially in this conference. A change of pace would probably do the Seahawks well.

Life without Jude and a great '22 senior class...who's stepping up for the baby hawks?

Doyle is a beast. Younger Preis should be the catalyst.

Big match up this Wednesday.....League Play begins. Oddly, it's a mid-week game for a league opener.

Last year Brown carried that game with 9 points 6g,3a. And for Penn, their leading scorers are both still there accounting for 5 of the 8 goals and 6 helpers. Sure ain't going to be cake walk.

Hawks are sharing the ball well on the offensive end of the field. Faceoffs are improving as well. Jude is a generational player for a program like smcm (as we can see now that he is in a Gulls uniform). Not sure Doyle or anyone for that matter is as dynamic.

You're right this will be a battle. Where is game being played? If at the Jamie, I go with Hawks by 3-4.

Look out for #15. Might not be the next brown. But is a great contrast to 33

At Jamie. Just to have a sweat on the game, I'll say Penn by 2. Seeing them struggle vs. Shenandoah means something.

Seahawks crushing Penn. Sharing the rock! Spreading the scoring around. #2 with 8 assists…heir to the #56 throne. This team can fill it up!

Boy, did not see that happening. WTH happened to Penn? Went from a 5 goal diff in 2022 to a 22 goal diff this year.

Remember, however, in the UE playoffs Hawks won 18-5.

29 - 7 in weak conference - #56 still has 26 pts in a much tougher conference so no throne has been unseated

Interesting game this week. Has SMCM been playing a weak schedule to pad the stats. Was the EC win over F&M a fluke? Or will this be a hard fought, close game?

Looking forward to seeing what happens when two evenly matched teams play

A weak conference with an AQ. JB will never be replaced by one player. As someone said above - he was generational and we wish him the best. But he is gone now and not coming back. He is being replaced by multiple quality players. Tough few weeks coming up - no time to think about last year.

There is no "J" or "B" in TEAM

He's a solid player, SMCM is fortunate to have him.

2020 was an abbreviated ( 8 game) season, 2021 was also shorter with 12 games, in 2022 #33 comes in as a Freshman during the United East conference.

I was just looking at freshman years. Both played 18 games. 33 had 7 more points.

Both good players and different styles of play. Great thing about this years team is its a TEAM effort. Everyone is scoring and everyone is contributing. Not just one player who people have put on a throne

Leading scorers and ballhandlers often lead the team in TO's.

The Seahawks current top scorer and ball handlers are also tops in the TO department this year. It's to be expected. So much so that I'd put a very large wager that the top SMCM leading scorers of all time all probably led the team in TOs during those seasons.

Kids play in the offense the coach puts them in.

Coaching, scheme and overall personnel at the time, matters.

Moving on, Here's hoping the Seahawks can play well in the next two games. Good challenges for sure.

+1 Look no further than Pat Spencer's TO's, lead the team all 4 years. Adding in, great attackman are often in the top 2-4 on GB's
