Calvin and Kzoo schedules are up. Nice to see Calvin getting a healthy mix of NACC and CCIW competition. I’m a little biased and prefer the trip down south for NCAC teams or out east for a spring break trip. We’ll see how the rest of the MIAA out of conference schedules shake up.

Any word on Alma? Timing of the HCs departure is interesting…

Did I miss the posting of all the teams? When I clicked on the link it only has Kalamazoo on their schedule
No, it looks like they only loaded one game so far now that I go back to it. Guess I jumped the gun. :D

Alma has a coach. His last job was Solon High School in NE Ohio. Mid-level D1 public high school.

Calvin facing Eastern in TX is nice OOC for them. Looks like a spring break week trip.

To answer my own question, based on last year it looks like the first week of February.

Alma

I would pick:

I agree with you on both counts. I think Albion and Hope return a lot and Trine has a second year coach with some new talent. Not sure why Adrian would be ranked that high with a new coach.

I don’t think Adrian has a new coach.

I would believe that Adrian would keep following the trajectory they are on and be the third seed again.

I believe Trine and Calvin will fight for the 4 spot but Ultimately it will be Trine who gets it.

You are right. It was Alma with the new coach and not Adrian. My bad. Still getting used to all of the "A" name schools in this conference. :)

Poll's out. Rankings as expected. Albion and Hope are neck and neck though. Not wholly surprising. I think 3 &4 between Trine and Adrian will be close as well and probably come down to head to head.

It will be an interesting year that’s for sure.

Albion scrimmaged D2 Davenport and won. Any other scrims out there?

Assuming the MIAA website is accurate, we truly kick off in two weeks with ONU, Otterbein, and Augie.

I chalk up the Alma vs Dearborn ‘game’ as a wash.

Albion scrimmaged MSU and OWU this weekend and won both games comfortably. Not sure what's up with OWU, they did not look like they normally do.

Based on the NCAC thread, it appears OWU is pretty inexperienced. I’d expect them to bounce back in 2-3 years.

Any other tune-up scrimmages this weekend? I saw Calvin had an intersquad and Adrian hosted a few NAIA programs. Dawgs must be feeling good if they brought back the gold lids…

Trine has Lourdes and Wooster this weekend. They have a HUGE freshman class. It will be interesting to see how many of the young guys play as they are the new coach's first recruiting class.
