Towson can win this game. But, they have to shoot well in all phases. Poor shots turn into bad turnovers. When you face a goalie who is 54% - Kilkeary you can’t take 14 yard shots with no angle. Glaring difference- Towson is a 28% shooting team. Delaware is 35% and ranked 5th in D1. Plus they don’t turn it over as much. Towson has something working right now on the midfield. Berkeley, Weber, Weisharr are flexing. They can lead this offense, hopefully in the CAA tournament.

One thing to remember is that, since Towson won't know who the winner of the Hofstra-Stony Brook game is until the evening, you can bet that they will be that much more focused and hungry. In addition, Delaware doesn't really have much to play for other than beating their rival again and more momentum going into the conference tournament.

Don’t think SB - HOF game means anything. Show up and play smart.

If Towson wins, it doesn't.

Shooting % is certainly a problem overall. But Ryan Schrier (48%) has given the team a boost with 14 goals in just 7 games. Somebody mention no assists, but he rarely carries the ball. His job is get the ball around five yards out and shoot it.

Only other player shooting above that is Chop Gallagher (8g, 15 sh). Heard he was hurt and not sure if he'll be back tomorrow or for the tournament, but he can really help as a second midfielder and can invert if needed. The second midfield has been rough and I know you tend to play a tighter midfield come tournament time. It would be nice if Gallagher was available to help.

Great win today against a very good Delaware team. Looked dicey in the third quarter, but the Tigers pulled away and got the win to extend their season. Unfortunately they will most likely have to play the Hens again on Thursday

Also, just checked the box score and Kurtz went scoreless. Regardless, if the Hens were focused or not for this one, that's impressive - would like to know the last time he did not score in a game.

Good dub today. Finally got out there with decent weather. Garrett Z. did a great job on Kurtz and Matt C. was incredible on face-offs (17-9). The turnover bug almost cost them in the third quarter (20 overall, 9 in 3 Q). They settled down in the fourth quarter and finished the job. Evan Long also played very well in net. Waiting on Hofstra/SBrook tonight to see where they well finish up.

Not going to go back to shooting % (47 shots, 23 on cage), but we were incredibly aggressive today. Like that we were pushing it some and not just holding the ball for 60 seconds.

So, if Hofstra beats SBU, Towson will play Drexel in the semis, and if SBU beats Hofstra, Towson will play Delaware?

If Towson plays with a quicker pace on offense , Delaware becomes average defensively. Which happened for three quarters Saturday. The poor play in third quarter was Delaware going zone, and Towson staring in outer space. A successful zone offense is making the defense get out of there sets. Stretch the defense and those passing lanes open up. You cannot stand around in zone offense, you are doing the defense a huge favor. If Towson spins the ball and moves their feet, they win Thursday. And defensively keep the same game plan. Do not let JPWard drive up to GLE one time without slide help. One time he took Barz up to GLE without help, he scored. Outstanding defensive game plan by the coaches Saturday, along w Zungailia who held Kurtz to 2A . Delaware middies do nothing for me. Let them run around naked. Pressuring Ward & Kurtz is what is most important. And it has to be for 60 min, you crack open the door, here they come.

Maybe this turns out like the 2014 season...one bounce short of next round. Maybe it's like 2015, the start of something.

Hard to beat the same team twice. Harder when it's a back to back game. Really freakin hard at their place.

Coach Nads vs Coach G. for the ring would be fun!

I was hoping last week wasn't a fluke in terms of the great three quarters, but Delaware had little to play for. They were pretty locked in for most of the game. Even if they didn't finish well, they were getting many layup attempts while Towson shot almost exclusively from the outside against the zone or needed to dodge (Berkeley) to get closer.

I thought Berkeley was fantastic and everyone else not good. Tough day for Villagomez(0-8), but he did have two assists. He came in shooting 33%, which is actually the second-highest of all six starters (Schrier was 42.5%).

Trying to figure out what happened to this team. They had some good pieces in Berkeley, DeMaio, the three freshmen, Webber has improved and Long had his moments. I thought most of the goals were not his fault. The defense disappointed at times and the offense just never shot it well. Most key players return like Delaware this season and there won't be a lot of excuses. Still some holes to fill in goal, at defensive midfield and close defense, a big, fast middie to replace Berkeley and a quarterback on offense. Chop Gallagher will help next season on attack or midfield when he returns, but that second midfield was an issue all year. They never could solve it with the right trio. Gallagher would have helped.

Tigers played a difficult OOC schedule, for one.

Tigers and Stony Brook were / are
2a and 2b in the CAA.

And,
next year, maybe, possibly Cole Herbert - he’s enrolled from what I’ve seen - question is, will he be playing for Nadelen or will he play football or both.

Not so sure if he will play again. Long is gone so they need to find a goaltender.

We always play a difficult schedule and Hopkins was off the schedule for the first time in years, but they had just one decent win (Hofstra road) and a good win (Delaware). Not a good season.

I don't live in the past. Towson had a very good team in 2019. It can get back to that spot again.
