With almost everyone now back for a full season stretch run for the first time since 2019 and district action heating up, here is my crack at the weekly top 15 in Class 6...

1. Langley (6-0) - Trap W&L game this week sees their coach take on her old team; will they be caught looking ahead to next week's showdown?
2. Madison (3-1) - We will learn a lot more about them this week, not only with St Stephens game on Tuesday, but rivalry showdown with neighbor Oakton on Thursday.
3. Yorktown (8-1) - Will they take out Meridian loss on Herndon, or save it for Langley on the 26th? Did their players all make it back from Spring Break?
4. West Springfield (7-1) - Can the Sparty beat rival Woodson at home this year, after winning at The Pat last year?
5. Robinson (6-2) - Are they refreshed or rusty after 2 weeks off?
6. Battlefield (5-1) - Looks to keep TCOB in district this week.
7. Oakton (6-3) - Can't sleep on Westfield before showdown with Madison.
8. Woodson (6-3) - New regime seems to be moving in the right direction, could take some big steps this week.
9. Washington & Liberty (6-3) - Beating Langley would go a long way to getting the Generals past the Yorktown smackdown.
10. Colonial Forge (8-0) - Spring breakin' this week.
11. West Potomac (7-2) - Prediction machine says Robinson puts up a big number on them this week, can WestPo match it?
12. Falls Church (5-2) - Someone has to win their district, are they the favorites once again?
13. South County (4-2) - Can they hang with the big guns of Robinson & Woodson this week?
14. Centreville (3-3) - Seem to be getting it together. If they pull of the shocker tonight vs Madison they will be in line for a jump.
15. Freedom SR (6-3) - rematch with Patriot this week will see if they can continue to hang on to ranking.

3rd game in 3 days (especially after playing St Stephens) and still beat down Yorktown.

Madison seems to be the challenger for Langley.

I think you might be right. Oakton had Madison on the ropes most of the night, but Madison pulls it out in OT 13-12. The kind of win that builds your team for those single-elimination, possession-by-possession, tourney games.

Class 6 Top 15 Poll: The who beat who edition....

Some teams making big statements last week as we come down the stretch, resulting in movement this week...

1. Langley (7-0) - All eyes on the Yorktown showdown on Tuesday, but the interesting game may be Saturday vs Bullis.
2. Madison (6-2) - Survived the gauntlet last week and closed the gap on #1. Oakton showed they could be vulnerable though.
3. Yorktown (9-2) - Stays here based on wins over teams just below them, but Tuesday should give us a real read on whether they are falling off or not.
4. Robinson (8-2) - Looks to be in control of the Patriot District, with only losses to the teams right above them.
5. Oakton (6-4) - Lost to Nos. 1-4 all in close games. If they could only get a break.
6. Woodson (8-3) - Don't look now, but new regime has things humming along like old regime.
7. West Springfield (7-2) - Defense and goaltending are there for Sparty, but their offense appeared to be sequestered with the Johnny Depp jury vs old nemesis Woodson.
8. Battlefield (7-1) - Champe rematch this week is one to watch.
9. Washington & Liberty (6-4) - Faired better vs Langley than they did vs rival Yorktown.
10. Colonial Forge (8-0) - Back from Spring Break and looking to keep rolling.
11. West Potomac (8-3) - One of the top scoring teams around, but couldn't find enough against Robo last week.
12. Falls Church (6-2) - Game tonight vs Justice will likely determine top team in the National District.
13. Freedom SR (6-3) - Is tricky and lists scrimmage wins on their overall record on website
14. John Champe (6-3) - Battlefield at home this week is their chance.
15. Cosby (6-1) - Giving some recognition to the Huxtables as they are 2:5 favorites to make the state tournament from Region A, so they will likely be around in the end. Only loss to an undefeated Powhatan team.

Battlefield goes on the road beats Champe on Thursday 10-6. Home game against Patriot this Thursday to clinch the Cedar Run Regular Season title, and the District's one seed in 6B.

They basically win 6B by default. There's no competition at all in that Region and then they won't play 6D or C until the State Finals.
