NJCAA 2022

Post by JustPassingThrough »

Predictions? Notable additions? Early commits? Onondaga back for 2022? Other gossip or scuttlebutt? It's been quiet around here...

They play Harford, Nassau, and Howard the next three weekends, so we'll know a lot more pretty soon.

Onondaga schedule: https://onondagalazers.com/sports/mens- ... e/schedule. CCBC Essex plays Genessee, Nassau, and Onondaga the first three weekends of March. Top Maryland schools start playing each other in late March, but also have scrimmages with Stevenson JV, Hill Academy, Army Prep mixed in.

I've been around JuCo lax a while, and I've never seen a return trip to the original 4-year school. The odds are it's happened somewhere, sometime. You just don't see is a lot. These days you see more direct admits from h/s, rather than college salvage jobs.

Much more often you'll see kids come out of h/s and need more seasoning or maturing. Kids who might be D1 priority walk-ons with something left to prove athletically or academically are occasionally "encouraged" to attend a local CC. The goal is to show they can cut it academically or athletically, gaining admittance, as a transfer student. This is often an easier path for kids who are late bloomers or didnt perform particularly well academically early in their hs career.

Also seeing 2 new trends in juco- kids from non-traditional hotbeds using JUCO as an opportunity to get seen and compete on the east coast and also kids who simply don't want to pay $100K for their first 2 years of college.

Different times, but all good for JUCO lax.

Looking at these early-season scores, Nassau, Harford, OCC, Essex, Genesee, and Howard all appear to have some great talent and legitimate championship goals. And there are a few others we haven't seen from yet, including Monroe or Suffolk.

Any way to tell where these kids might be playing? I know one went to Salisbury and left.

This FR, Elijah-Brown, at OCC from the Hill…what’s it going to get them into some sweet Purple and Orange in Geneva? Ive got a few Shekels I could throw into some NIL adjacent situation for him.
