I am surprised to watch the Deerfield v Salisbury game and notice they are NOT playing with a shot clock. Strange to see the "Timer ON" call. Are plans in place to move to NCAA rules?

They do play NCAA rules, with a shot clock.

They didn’t in this game. Deerfield had the ball for the last 4 minutes or so. Salisbury picked off a pass with 50 seconds left and for some reason didn’t call a TO. Pretty sure they still had one. Maybe they didn’t. The kid ended up throwing the ball away. Deerfield then ran out the clock. Good game in all. Salisbury were good on FO’s, but in the end made a few more mistakes. Deerfield were solid.

Believe it or not, most of these schools still don’t have shot clocks. Hopefully they had some dogecoin in their endowments and can afford them for next year.

Taft is getting trounced. 6-1 in the middle of the 2nd.

Deerfield is just playing better lacrosse. This isn't summer ball, Rhinos. Dodge, Pass, Pass, Shoot. Real lacrosse.

Taft is really, really good, but not 'wick Deerfield good.

One point game now - end of 3rd.

Taft seems to have momentum. Both goalies are playing lights out!

Near the end of the 3rd.

Both teams seem exhausted.

Remarkably low scoring affair for two teams with a surfeit of offensive talent. The two goalies put on quite a show and demonstrated why they will be playing at the next level.

6-1 middle of second and ended up 7-5? Amazingly low scoring with the AA legions of offense on both sides. Or maybe they shouldn’t be? Or maybe the D is too. Good goalie play? At least 3 West-1 goalies starting in D1 quarters this weekend.

Just to quote myself but realizing it, 3/8 goalies starting in D1 quarters from West-1, another team (Duke) had previous starter pushed out by transfer.

Nice win for Deerfield over Belmont Hill, 14-8. Anyone get to see it who can provide any color?

Didn't catch the first half, which ended up with Belmont Hill up 1-2. In the second half, Deerfield had sussed out BH's strengths/weaknesses and made adjustments and systematically took them apart. There was never a 3-goals in 45 second span burst or anything like that, just settled possessions, multiple looks, and a goal every 2-3 minutes. After Deerfield built a four goal lead in the third, Belmont Hill got it back down to two goals and had the ball with about 30 seconds left. Instead of holding for the last shot they took an ill-advised one with about 20 seconds left and of course Deerfield went down and scored with almost time left on the clock. That was pretty much the end of it. Good battle but the scoring margin was a fair representation of the talent gap.

Hello, peeps. Watched the stream. Literally, having awoken like Rip Van Winkle from a pandemic slumber, checked a week ago to see if West I was even playing any lax, and saw the Taft/DA stream. Funky season and schedules! Regarding BH/DA game I was struck by the excellent team play of DA. Solid in every facet. Fierce on ground balls. Unselfish. Solid lax IQ implemented in real time. And goodness that offense just flows and moves the rock - then finishes. Well coached (as if that’s in question), calm, and athletic. I would have to think they’re a top 10 team nationally.

Just saw this on Twitter. 7 Brunswick grads playing this weekend. What a great experience for these young men; individually and collectively. What it fails to mention is that two are also current Captains (Morris @UNC, Fox @UVA)
