Had an extra air conditioner that nobody seemed to want so I put it out by the road with a,
WORKS
FREE,
sign on it. It's not a half an hour later and some phat rump in her Chrysler convertable (top down) stops (in the road, doesn't pull in the driveway) to check it out. I'm sittin' in the yard drinkin' my coffee and she looks at me as if to say come and pick this up and put it in my car for me. I just smile and give her a thumbs up as all I can think is that this has got no good deed goes unpunished written all over it. She walks around it, tosses the sign in the yard, and muslces it into her front seat (who doesn't put that in the trunk?) and takes off with it. Question is, where do you think that sign was when she left? Takes all kinds to keep the world going 'round, I guess, but geezuz h, sometimes I wonder how it keeps spinning.
