3. York (if still in but think they go to MAC) - best coach in the league and one of the tops nationally

Bit of an overstatement, no?
Childs is good, no doubt, but he still has to build his resume a little more to even enter the discussion of best coach in his league ...

From the Salisbury website:

The all-time winningest coach in NCAA men’s lacrosse history, Jim Berkman enters his 32nd season at the helm of the 12-time national champion Salisbury University in 2020. Berkman has been the head of Salisbury men’s lacrosse since 1989.

Honors/Accomplishments as Head Coach

12 National Championships (1994-95, 1999, 2003-05, 2007-08, 2011-12, 2016-17)
553 wins as head coach – most in NCAA history
National Lacrosse Hall of Fame – Class of 2013
31 straight NCAA Tournament appearances (1989-present)
27 NCAA Final Four appearances
Seven undefeated seasons (1994-95, 2004-05, 2007-08, 2012)
Three-time Division III National Coach of the Year (1991, 2008, 2012)
22 Capital Athletic Conference Championships
15 consecutive championships from 1995-2009
228 All-Americans
51 National Players of the Year
22 CAC Players of the Year
10 CAC Coach of the Year awards
Second-longest winning streak in NCAA history – 55 games
105-game conference win streak
2012 Howdy Myers Man of the Year
13 Major League Lacrosse Draft Picks
Notable Games as Head Coach

May 29, 1994 – Salisbury beats Hobart, 15-9 in College Park for the program’s first NCAA Championship and caps off an undefeated season.
May 28, 1995 – Salisbury takes down Nazareth, 22-13 to repeat as national champions, the first of eight repeat championships for the Sea Gulls.
May 29, 2005 – Salisbury beats Middlebury, 11-10 to win their third consecutive national championship. The 2005 team is only the third team in NCAA Division III to three-peat as national champions.
May 16, 2012 – Berkman collects his 400th SU win in 14-4 NCAA semifinal win against Cabrini
May 17, 2017 – Berkman becomes the only coach in NCAA history with 500 wins with a 17-5 win over Cabrini in the NCAA quarterfinals.
May 28, 2017 – Salisbury wins the 12th national championship in program history with a 15-7 win over RIT in front of the largest crowd for a Division III championship in NCAA history (31,560).

Let’s say we pump the brakes just a touch when making these declarations.

Prognostications if 2021 pans out;
1. Salisbury - top of the heap until knocked off the pedestal. should be deep in 2021. lots of transfers and 5th years.
2. CNU - nipping at gulls heels. lots of talent and great young coach. would not be surprised to see them on top at end.
3. York (if still in but think they go to MAC) - cannot be overlooked. best coach in the league and one of the tops nationally
4. SMCM - program on the rise. good things happening down on the river. most of the offense returns, along with goalie and fo men.
5. SVa - they can score. need to defend better.
6. MWU - will they be a competitive factor in 2021?
Lots of questions. Not many answers.

If 2021 happens it will be lots of local and conference games, I would think.
York bails. AQ in question. Assume they have a waiver. But it's not good to assume.

According to a couple of coaches I know from the conference; they do have a waiver for the next couple of years.
