Can someone explain the difference in these organizations and how AAs are determined for each organization? Not complaining....just wondering about the process.

The USILA ia voted on by a committee of coaches throughout the country for its various teams (1st, 2nd, HM)

The IMLCA is voted on regionally by all of its coaches (that chose to participate in said poll) and then for the national team is voted on by a committee of coaches.

Whenever you see IMLCA it is a direct link to the college coaches as that is there coaches association. At this point aside from produce the major awards, all americans, and the North South game, I don't know what the USILA does.

Interesting how Kevin Witchey of York was named defenseman of the year by the USILA, but wasn't in the top 6 defensemen for IMLCA...not even the best defender on his own team according to them in fact.

Different selection process? more/less coaches voting? Different strokes for different folks...That is they way it goes. I am sure no one is really losing sleep over it.

Take a look at All American Football Teams, you will often see players as "top" player on one and not on another.
