Amended. Set it up so whenever D1 and D2 teams play each other, the game automatically does not effect the relevant teams' Points. If enough D2 teams beat D1 teams, we could meld the D1 and D2 Rankings but, thus far, it's only happened once, TCU (over 1,000 Points in D2) beat Baylor (500s Points in D1). Not a lot we can do with this. But that's an aside. Thank you. A necessary fix and we wouldn't have caught it w/o your help.

Going to be some important games coming up all over the country

Santa Clara vs Berkeley this weekend ... loser likely won't make nationals, or would have to win the WWLL tourney to get in

Texas vs Texas A&M is an important game to figure out who is at the top of the TWLL

Virginia vs Virginia Tech - should be a win for VaTech but style points could come into play for UVa when it comes to tourney selection
Actually there are a lot of MAWLL games which will help establish their conference tourney rankings. Do they still do top 2 from each side (Chesapeake/Delmarva)? Will that hurt whichever team from the Chesapeake that gets left out of the conference tourney?

NEWLL might have a shot to get two into nationals this year but BC would have to climb a few spots to make that happen and I'm not sure that the rankings folk will have that happen unless they can get the AQ and I think Northeastern has shown they deserve to be there from their wins.

Love this time of year!!!

Knight, if you click on the teams within the Computer Rankings, it shows their Game Scores.

Does the WCLA post a Play-Off/Post-Season schedule? And when does this start?

Is there a separate tourney for the non-WCLL WCLA teams?

here is the best answer....from US Lacrosse...so all these leagues should be having championships, with the winners moving on to the WCLA tourney.

WCLA Automatic Qualifier Update
The WCLA Sub-Committee designates certain leagues as being eligible to receive an Automatic Qualifier (AQ) to the WCLA National Championship Tournament, provided they meet the criteria set forth in the WCLA Operating Procedures and Bylaws during the season.

Division I - Eligible AQ Leagues
MAWLL - Mid Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League
NEWLL - New England Women's Lacrosse League
NWWLL - Northwest Women's Lacrosse League
RMWLL - Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League
SWLL - Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League
TWLL - Texas Women's Lacrosse League
WCLL - Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League
WWLL - Western Women's Lacrosse League

Division II - Eligible AQ Leagues
MAWLL - Mid Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League
NCWLL - National Central Women's Lacrosse League
NEWLL - New England Women's Lacrosse League
NWWLL - Northwest Women's Lacrosse League
RMWLL - Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League
TWLL - Texas Women's Lacrosse League
WCLL - Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League
WWLL - Western Women's Lacrosse League

The WCLA National Championship Tournament features 16 teams from Division I and 12 teams from Division II.

thanks @oaklandlax. I was just going off the website.

Buff is listed @ 7 on under the WCLL Playoff Tournament Facts...

but on the Game Schedule, #7 is listed as Marquette and #8 is Minnesota.

so, appears the website needs to be updated. :D

Re: WCLA Rankings

nice to see UCF finally get into the rankings thought I suspect they will have to win the SWLL to make the national tourney

the MAWLL playoffs should also be this weekend right? Is it VaTech vs Maryland and Virginia vs Delaware?
if Maryland can play VaTech close or win they would likely jump UNC and get into nationals.

The big question will be how Northeastern plays in the NEWLL tourney and if that gets them a bump up and an invite ...

With Texas and the NWWLL winner (Washington or Oregon State most likely) taking two AQs that means a team would need to be top 14 to get an at large for Nationals.
Seems like that last spot will be decided between Maryland, Northeastern, UNC, and Utah based on how they play (or how others play) during tourneys this weekend. A big showing by Utah might give them enough to jump some teams and get in. And any major upsets on who gets and AQ could also throw a wrench into that.

If people will be at any of the games would love to see some halftime scores posted =) otherwise I'll be stalking twitter pages

16 teams make the national tournament for each division.
There are 8 conferences and each conference champion gets an AQ. Then a committee meets and decides who the other 8 teams who get at-large bids are. So you have to be in the top 20 for a chance at an At-Large but best chance is to be in the top 12-14.

So if a team is ranked in the high teens (15-20) then their most likely way to get in is to win their conference AQ.

So after the weekend of regional championships we at least know the 8 AQs ... can't wait to find out who the at large invites will go to!!

MAWLL - Mid Atlantic Women's Lacrosse League - Delaware
NEWLL - New England Women's Lacrosse League - Northeastern
NWWLL - Northwest Women's Lacrosse League - Washington (edited 4/17)
RMWLL - Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League - BYU
SWLL - Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League - Georgia
TWLL - Texas Women's Lacrosse League - Texas
WCLL - Women's Collegiate Lacrosse League - Pittsburgh
WWLL - Western Women's Lacrosse League - UCLA

My guesses for At-Large
Virginia Tech, Virginia
Boston College
Colorado
Michigan
San Diego State, Santa Clara, Cal Poly

I think that the last At-Large spot will come down to Cal Poly (4th in WWLL), UCF (2nd in SWLL), and UNC (didn't make MAWLL tourney)
I think that Cal Poly's wins over Georgia and UCLA will give them the edge. UCF doesn't have any signature wins against top 20 teams. UNC beat Maryland which is why I think they would get consideration over them despite not making the tourney.

Looks like it will be a really strong field for nationals regardless of who gets invites and I would not want to try and rank these teams to create the bracket!!! I don't see an easy path for anybody.

Washington won NWWLL

When does the field get announced?
