FanLax D1 Men's Lacrosse Rankings - Pre-Season

We have a litany of prognosticators in D1 Men's Lacrosse spouting their opinion of which teams are the best.  Sometimes it's obvious and they're 100% correct.  Sometimes it's less obvious and... Who knows?  Though I do not believe that there really is a controversy, the controversy between UCF (13-0) and Alabama (13-1) is a decent example.  To me, it looks like this and that UCF is having a National Champion parade is ridiculous.  Still, sometimes two teams seem to equal yet are actually dissimilar.  Sometimes two, three, or more teams are astonishingly similar and should be treated as such.  None the less, we use the same Top 20 list and say, Bryant is better than UNC who is better than High Point even though, according to the numbers, they're deadlocked.  On occasion, prognosticators will deem a tie between 2, 3, or more teams.  But this is uncommon.  This season, FanLax is running an experiment where we're trying to find a better way to express which teams are top of the D1 Men's Lacrosse pile.  We're starting the season with this graph.  As the season progresses, through trial and error, we hope to come up with a better way.  Feel free to lend your opinion via a reply.
