Great series on NOVA. As the one lady said in that episode, “Science is like Alice in Wonderland, anything is possible”.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Ok. You believe her characterization applies to all science? You may be mischaracterizing her comments. It’s out of context. As your E.E buddies if in all disciplines of science “anything is possible”youthathletics wrote:Science. At minute 49.

Thanks for posting that. One of the greatest books I ever read was a biography about Alexander.

Thanks for posting. I am going to ask someone I know that teaches an infectious disease course about it.

I was shocked when I asked my MD wife about it. She was totally unaware. Seems to be a pretty tightly held secret so as not to alarm people.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2019 11:16 amThanks for posting. I am going to ask someone I know that teaches an infectious disease course about it.

The big news today was the release of the first high magnification "image" of a black hole. The black hole is 53 million light years from earth. It should be noted that this is not a visible light image. It is a radio telescope image acquired with a large baseline radio interferometer. This amounts to simultaneous images taken by multiple radio telescopes spread all over the world. The color in the image is "pseudo color".

It is very very concerning. Not knowing the origin is very troubling.jhu72 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:40 pmI was shocked when I asked my MD wife about it. She was totally unaware.
