Why does Umass D show as -5 if they play UMass Lowell this Tuesday?

Why does Umass D show as -5 if they play UMass Lowell this Tuesday?

In 7 of the 10 week 1 games, if you switched the team D, the outcome is the opposite. Is it just me or does it seem as if the D has a way disproportionate influence on the scores than it should?

This week was a strange week with a team D being the leading scorer for the week. A Team D getting 9 Points is rare. 9I don't think a Team D has ever received 10.) And... Back to the question. Team D matters. And, at times, can matter a lot. I've had a Team D simply ruin my season and... face-offs aside, D is 50% of the game. your Team D should have a heavy influence. Do our Team Ds have a "way disproportionate influence"? I don't think so. i think it's pretty proportionate.
