There are 21 teams in their "conference," so it would be impossible to play everyone (much like Suffolk A). I don't know how the league schedules are determined in Nassau (in Suffolk preseason coaches seeds are used).
So it's a combined C/D conference for regular season just like Suffolk is a combined B/C/D I guess. Seems odd that there are only 3 teams in Nassau D

I think Nassau does a Conference A, B and C/D for scheduling

Recently,a former SWR lacrosse player claimed SWR once beat GC. I disagreed and we now have a bet.Doc and Rotanz scheduled games intermittently. The great Jack White (R.I.P.) was Garden City's lacrosse historian.Jack passed away in 2015.His was a meticulous record keeper and recorded every game GC played dating back to the 1930's.

A few posters on this topic, appear to have access to data that could settle the bet. If any of you good folk can point me to the source,I'd greatly appreciate it.

So that site says since 2000, GC is 6-1 vs SWR. The only loss coming 6/4/16 by 8-6

On a separate note, let’s get some predictions for Saturday. I feel like Class A, B, and C could easily go to 8 or 11. All 3 look like coin tosses to me. Now that I said that watch there be several blow outs, and Mattituck will beat CSH

Northport 10-9 in OT
WI 7-6
Manhasset 11-10 in OT (I have to be a homer and pick them)
CSH 10-6
On the wayback machine you can look at all national laxpower ratings and team pages from 1999 to 2016. If you click the link I posted, it goes to Manhasset's team page, but you can click the other teams on the schedule and also different years. Or go up to "boys" on top and click "ratings archives" to see other years.

LIC predictions

Farmingdale 6-5
GC 8-6
Manhasset 13-11
CSH big, 15-2 or something.
Thanks, it seems the old LP site is great for looking at any given year to see how a team did and scores. The Nassau site is great for everything else about a program’s history. I was impressed i could sort for results vs teams like FlyerFan did to get all the times Manhasset played SWR since 00, and you can see titles, AAs, etc

You’re picking the Dalers? Not that it can’t happen but your squad has been strong all year
It kills me not only to pick against Northport but also to predict a Nassau sweep. The A game was the one I'm least confident on, just feel like Farmingdale has a lot of momentum and a great goalie which will be a tough for us coming off how we struggled to generate good shots against Smithtown East.
If it’s any solace there’s a good chance our predictions are going to be wrong in…..and in more than one place. I was very impressed by Farmingdale vs Port, but when I think of what Northport has been through it’s really a gauntlet of tough games, especially recently. They’re hardened at this point

Does Section XI or Stony Brook still refuse to sell tickets to each game WITHOUT having to leave the stadium and stand in line 4 times? I'd be happy to purchase tickets to all 4 games in one fell swoop? I'm too old and feeble to go through the in,out,stand-in-line process.

You might have to buy them on your phone...GoFan. Not sure, just warning and I would bet you can stay for all 4 games for the 8 bucks

Enjoy the LICs everyone! I'll be running around with kids so I might try to just turn off my phone and watch the Northport game tonight, but we'll see.

Same to all….enjoy the day and games. Murf, the good news is if you wait long enough you’ll come full circle and AI (computers) will be able to do all of this for you. No thinking required

4-3 SWR at the half. Pretty electric crowd. SWR playing very well, especially on defense. Girard is helping Manhasset stay in this by winning almost every draw. They need to figure out how to get better looks

Really fun half. Impressive defense from SWR losing almost every faceoff.

11-6 Manhasset with 2 minutes left. Score is unreflective of the competitiveness of the two teams and a testament to Girard's dominance. Manhasset has scored 8 of the last 9 goals and SWR might have possessed the ball 3 times in that span. Maybe not even 3 times

CSH up 5-1 late in the 3rd….don’t expect that outcome to change.

Manhasset game was a war for more than 3 quarters. SWR shows how good they are the last 3 games….they could play with anyone. Manhasset showed a lot of toughness hanging in when almost nothing was going their way on offense, and the D played very well. IMO Girard deserves strong consideration for best player on LI….i know he’s a FOGO but he changes the dynamic of a game more than any player I’ve watched. The kid on Northport (Miller) is the other guy who stands out that I’ve watched
